In regards to finding a Coast To Coast resort we recommend using the Coast To Coast directory which can be located on our website at https://www.coastresorts.com/. You can also view our Good Sam Neighbor Parks as well which as a member of Coast To Coast you will also receive member only discounts. Availability of staying at a Coast Resort will be based upon first come first service basis. For those that are discounted like the Good Neighbor Parks or Good Sam affiliated parks, they may have additional stipulations as they are privately owned. If you have questions please reach out to our Coast Member Services at 1-800-368-5721. Thank you, Good Sam Customer Care Team Thanks for your reply. However you did not respond to the issue. What I'm saying is, as a member of Coast 2 Coast, I would like to see our Coast 2 Coast team remove those with less than major discount from the system. And not list new parks unless it is a true Coast 2 Coast parks or Good Neighbor Parks with discounts way beyond Good Sam discount. Why except only 10% offAs a Coast 2 Coast member, we are all members of Good Sam's. As such we already get a 10% discount at all of these campgrounds. Then why does Coast 2 Coast list these campgrounds again in our section as a discount. One would think that a minimum needs to be set to be on this list. Further, Coast 2 Coast should not accept the same game played by Passport America where we only get a discount on the off days of Monday-Thursday. Coast 2 Coast needs to hold ourselves to a higher standard.Re: How cold should the air conditioning get the RV?Last year we had a 28 Keystone RLS, with one A/C unit, in a duck system. Visiting our Daughter in Dallas Texas, taught us a lesson, on the need for 2 AC systems in summer heat. This year we have a Reflection 303 RLS 5th Wheel, with 2 AC units. The new 5th wheel has an R40 roof and R30 floors. The previous light weight TT had nothing near that. The 2nd AC unit helps lower the temps quickly, and keep them there. The Grand Design Reflection this summer has maintained 73-75 degrees, in the daytime, with no issues all day long, even when feel like temperatures outside, have hit 109. One key point is; AC units need to cycle. That's why in a couple places we camped this summer, we had to raise the inside temp to 75 instead of 73 a couple days.Re: rockies or smokey's garyp4951 wrote: I never use cruise towing in the mountains, and wonder why some do. I'm in no hurry, and its also hard on the power train. I totally agree.Re: fifth wheel gas stopsI'm new in 5th wheel but have towed a 33 travel trailer for over 12k miles last year, behind a gas GMC Sierra.. Planning is the key. I use Google maps and street view to plan out my route, and I always plan a stop at 1/2 a tank, just in case, the station I thought was "OK" turned out to be a "no go".Re: Best RV route mapSo what your saying is, there is no online mapping system for RV's, that takes into consideration height, and non- RV safe roads? The Mountain book, to review recommended Google routs, then make adjustments, with way points, seems the best solution. This leaves me disappointed in Good Sams and Coast 2 Coast routing, as they are suppose to be for RV travelers.Re: Best RV route map Thom02099 wrote: azdryheat wrote: My Google Map says to go east from Twin Lakes to the 24 then north to I-70 then west the 82 then south to Aspen. It did not try to route me the short way. Probably because CO 82 between Aspen and Twin Lakes is closed for the season and won't reopen until early June. For the OP, the Mountain West Directory would be a good investment. It lists the restrictions on this, and similar roads in the mountain West. That online book looks like it would be the ticket. Use Google maps but use the way points to go around roads marked with the "Mountain West Directory"... Many thanksBest RV route mapI use Google maps in my work daily. However, I'm about to retire, and we're headed out for a few months of RV travel out west. I noted from YouTube videos some of the roads, do not allow RV's, or they have narrow and or low tunnels. Google does not take those issues into consideration. I tried, the route planer in Good Sams and it too made the same errors. Example route between Twin Lakes CO. to Aspen CO. The twisting road between the two is restricted to vehicles less than 25 feet in length. Every map program, including Good Same route planner takes the direct route, where RV are prohibited. Any map trip program you recommend?Re: What to do with mail for six months of RV travel. Thanks for all the great ideas. I hate to bother a neighbor for months. So I may do a mail forwarding service. Good Sams has one as well, as the one in Green Cove Springs recommended here.Re: Is Thousand Trails a better choice than C2C Resorts?I wonder what C2C is doing about keeping current parks, and adding new parks? I am concerned about loosing Encore Parks as well as Sun Resorts as Good Neighbor parks, and I'm looking forward to seeing what C2C is doing about replacing them.
