We left the motorhome at Yellowstone at the Grizzly RV park and drove to Jackson Hole, staying in a Hotel to tour the area. If you store your coach, make sure that your generator is set to come on in case you lose power at the RV park. Good luck, MM. What happens when the park loses power at 3am and your generator comes on and you aren't there to turn it off? Then it RUNS.....Just like its Supposed to do.......S.M.H.:S Exactly. Don't know what the big deal is. Lost our electric at a camp ground most of the night ne time. Lots of generators running. Not going to swealter on a hot humid night when you can use your AC with a generatorRe: Survey - How Do You Store Your Class A?RV garageRe: "Don't Buy New" Terryallan wrote: I buy new. I like new stuff. I like the way new smells, I like that I am the only one to have slept in my bed. I like that we are the only ones to use the NEW bathroom. I like that IF any thing happens to it. that is mine too. Buying used. you never know HOW it was treated, and abused. Exactly and what difference does it make what others preferRe: Generator while travelingAlways ran our splendid evening going down the road, never had a problem either. It was great throwing the sheets in when we left a campground and having them all cleaned and ready to fold by the next stopRe: Any regrets going from Gas to Diesel? We are in the minority also. Never happier going back to gas after a diesel. The new ford chasis are a great ride, easy to maintain and costs much less to operateRe: I'm still convinced these people are crazy. To each his own. Way does it matter to you what other people do as long as it doesn't infringe on your rights Go enjoy life and quit worrying what other people doRe: propane fridge on when travelingOf course. That is what they are designed forRe: Can't get used to it!Threads like this is what keeps scaring me off from finally pulling the trigger. Been looking and reading these forums for two years and the more I read the more hesitant I get. We really want to get a fifth by this summer as my wife just has one more school year to go until she can retire and than we would like to hit the road. Problem is I am scared to drive the thing.Re: What do you do for health care insurance Big Katuna wrote: Check with SS. They told me the amount paid is based on the average of your 20 highest income years. And you have to be working the five years prior to claim disability. You are correct. It is 20 not 35 as I previously said. Bottom line if you have enough years and retire at age earlier than 62 like I did, earning 0 for a few years won't effect your the amount of your benefit that you have earnedRe: What do you do for health care insurance FunnyCamper wrote: also remember that if you contribute no more social security, your projected amount per month will be lower. they average all years and assume you are working. If you stop working, the years are 0 and are averaged in. I went into the SS website to check into early retirement and how it effects your SS check. so if you stop paying into SS, be sure to find out what your new projected monthly amts will be for each of you. it will change. Not totally true.. Only if you have worked less than 35 years other wise is is based on the average of your top 35 years
