For example....what city is 250 miles from where I am, etc. TIA MOD's EDIT: Changed topic title from "Trip Planning by mike" to "Trip Planning by mile" because Mike is busy and can't help with trip planning right now.Re: toad versus no toadWe are an elderly couple with a small MH. We spend several months in FL each year & rent a car. If you reserve ahead of time, you can get a really good rate. We’ve had it with towing anything!Re: Overnight location - 1/2 way to FL from MAHi Dave. LOL at your post about stops on the way to FL. We live in Northern Virginia & make 4 stops on the way to Fort Pierce! Started with 3, now 4....next year, maybe 5. That’s what retirement is all about...no need to rush.Re: Help selecting East Coast location with lots of variables...Check out Jellystone Park in Luray, VA. Something for everyone there & close to the magnificent Shenandoah National Park.Re: Novice looking for an upgrade to Class CWe love our 2019 Coachman Leprechaun 210RS. About 24.9 feet. Chevy engine. Perfect for the 2 of us & our dog. Queen size walk around bed. Cab over bed which we use for storage, but stuff could easily be removed for sleepovers for guests. Storage space is amazing for this size MH. We’ve had it since 09/18 - lots of trips - only problem is that vent covers cracked. Comfy dinette (which can also be made into a bed). Generator. Actually, every amenity that we could possibly need. We never feel cramped, but we are mostly outside anyway. Good luck with your search.Re: DorianSending prayers for the safety of all humans, animals, rigs & RV parks located in the path of Dorian.Re: RV Parks in Montreal and Quebec CityWe have stayed at both these excellent suggestions and found them located perfectly for exploring these 2 fascinating cities.Re: Best rv parks around Saratoga Spring NYSadly, I don’t think there are any decent campgrounds anywhere the Saratoga track. Some years ago we stayed at Whispering Pines Campground in Greenville Center, NY, quite far away from the track. It was awful. Bad roads, hookups in wrong places, rude staff, etc. Perhaps it has improved by now? Check out RVParkReviews for info. Good luck & if you find a good one, please let us know. We love Saratoga!Re: DecisionsWe had the same predicament - the hooking up the trailer became too difficult. We traded our trailer for a 2019 Coachman Leprechaun 210 RS - 24’9. We have had it now for 10 months - no major problems. Love it. We lived in it in FL for 3 months comfortably. We now rent a car if we are going to be in a place for more than a week. For shorter trips, we just drive the Leprechaun to do errands - easy to park. We have no intention of getting a toad. We are finished with towing anything!Re: Campsites directly on Lake Ontario in Canada or NYCheck out Association Island KOA in Henderson, NY
