Was confused why the Max Vehicle length was 26 feet but the Drive Way length was 45 feet. Come to find out the FLAT part was 26 feet (which was perfect for my old trailer) and then it slopped down for the remaining 19 feet to the road way.Re: Grand Tetons experience anyone?Hey everyone, thanks for the great information and not giving me a hard time. I am new to rv.net and didn't realize there was a RV Parks & National Parks Forum. really starting to enjoy this site for the information.Re: Grand Tetons experience anyone? That is great information. Thanks everyone. Looking forward to making the trip. So far all my trips have been local in Oregon only whether to Central Oregon or the Oregon Coast since I only plan about 5 days away, but my hope is to make this trip a 10 day road trip from leaving to returning. ThanksGrand Tetons experience anyone?Would love to hear peoples feedback on Camping at the Grand Tetons. Of course I already have my 2014 schedule filled for camping, but would love to know in advance what I need to do for 2015. Looks like you can only book 6 months out? I also see (from the website) places where it says "Campsites are available on a first come basis", but driving from Oregon to Wyoming without a "reservation" doesn't sound like a fun and safe trip since I will be speeding and bypassing bladder warnings to beat the other trailers and RVs. lol So any early advice from previous GT experiences would be great. FYI..got a 35' Trailer, so I know I am already limited in sites to stay in. Thanks for your input. (I know I could ask them, but I want the "real experience", not the scripted answers you get from reservation lines)Re: Finally got the wife to choose a trailer. Some questions?I own a 2013 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins and a 2014 JayFlight 32RLDS and I haven't had any issues with it, but I also have just purchased the JayFlight and have really only taken it on the drive from Dealer to Home, so haven't fully loaded the trailer with my gear and headed over the mountains yet. But from what I noticed on the drive home, I shouldn't have any problems with another 1500# added on to my 8000# trailer. Due to some construction, I got stopped in traffic on my way home and was in the middle of a incline. Had no problems once traffic was moving to get the power and speed back up on my way home.Re: Slide Out Stabilizers? skipnchar wrote: IF your slide rooms are not stable get them repaired. If your 2 foot deep slide needed stabilizing it may have been beyond repair. I didn't actually need it with my 2' slide outs, and I have just picked up my 2014 JayFlight, so haven't even had it out camping yet. This was more just trying to find out I did need them for my first camping trip since I did have a friend who has them on his 2012 Springdale and recommended them when he was checking out my new trailer.Re: Just joined RV.netLove this site. Thought I got hosed by a few items my trailer didn't come with. After 4 pages of responses, I realized I was hoping for to much with my first NEW trailer.Re: Slide Out Stabilizers? Family & friends said NO but you needed internet strangers to confirm :H Just poking fun :B:B Pretty much... If you only knew my friends and family :-) Very few of them actually have large slides, so didn't know how confident I was in their recommendations.Re: Slide Out Stabilizers?Awesome. Thanks everyone. Appreciate the comments. Guess thats why most of my family and friends said not needed. Thanks!Slide Out Stabilizers?Do you all recommend the Slide Out Stabilizers? I never used them on my last trailer, but it was only a 2' Slide out and only had a couch on it. My new trailer has a large slide with couch and dinette. I have some friends that swear by them. They use one on the slide out and the other under the door entrance. Other Family and Friends that tell me they might be nice, but not necessary. I have 2 slides but one is my kitchen... would I be better to use the stabilizer on the kitchen (inside has TV and Fireplace) or better to use at the Entrance since that is used several times every day.
