All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Considering a fifth wheelWhat my renters used to do on one of my rentals was lower the tires enough to clear the bar across the covered RV cover. Then after getting under the bar , pump the tires back up to normal. My renters did that for 6 yrsRe: 83 and have hung up the keysI am 86 and my Wife is 84. We have a camping trip planned this summer for two and a half months. It seems for me when I turned 70 there was more and more things that are harder to do. I am not ready to stop camping and towing my 34 ft TT. But it might not be many more yrs. I am going to try to make it to 90Re: New Super Duty on orderI thought about buying the same truck but could not justify the price. So I kept my 2003 F250 V10 with just over 100,00 miles and changed oil on everything and all new everything else etc. Still runs great. My age 86, properly would not let me enjoy a new truck that longRe: Generator question Johnny G1 wrote: Honda 3000i and you will have one of the best generators, a little heavy but will power pretty well everything including air. I had a EU 3000 Honda, one yr old, that would not run my 13,500 AC in Lake Tahoe, it would run for a while then die. I sold it and bought two EU 2,000 Hondas and no more problems where I run themRe: ARE THERE ANY SNOWBIRDS ANYMORE?26 yrs, snowbirds in Yuma from mid-Oct to mid-AprilRe: Travel Trailers vs Motor HomeI don't think the poster asked about the 5th wheels. I have owned and towed many TT, etc plus owned Class C, and Class A motor homes and have switched back and forth between Claa A and TT at least 10 times in the over 60 yrs of towing RVs. I have a 34 ft TT at the present time but I am thinking about going back to a Class A.I have had no problem with towing TT or driving a 36 ft Class ANew Travel TrailerHELP My daughter and S I Law recently retired and are looking at new TTs. They found a 2022 29 ft, 2 BR, 7,000 pounds, fully loaded. Forest River brand. He has a diesel short bed. half ton. The price is just over $45K. WOW !! They put a deposit on it and then called me. I have towed thousands of miles, 5th w, TT, Pop Up, you name it in the last 62 yrs. I think it's too much money for the TT, not enough truck to tow it or breaks to stop it. Tell me what you think and I will forward the comments to them. I know what you will say I think Help me out. Also, he has never towed anything other than her Toyota on a trailer from New York to Calf and little cargo trailersRe: AC on or off? Allworth wrote: He clearly said "at your house". I have several rental houses in Yuma that I rent out during the winter and I never leave the elect on during the summer. Every thing is turned off for 6 monthsRe: Selling RV, urgent help needed on proper process CaliforniaI have sold many vehicles in Calif and it is a very easy process. If the buyer is paying cash, I have the buyer meet me at my Bank and the Bank runs the money through the machine to make sure the money is good. Make sure and fill out the release of ownership. I then take it to any DMV and hand it to the person that you you talk to when you walk in. You have to have the MH smogged which is good for 90 days. If the buyer is paying with a cashier's check I would meet him at his Bank to make sure the funds are good. I have never removed the lic plates on any RV that I sold in Calif. I have several times in AZ as it is required. I ALWAYS write on the bill of sale that the vehicle is SOLD "AS IS" no guarantee of any kind written or impliedRe: Yuma private rv spacesI just checked on Craigs List under Vacation rentals and there are at least six rentals and I only looked on the first page. The first ad had a space for $400 a month telephone #3607105986. I dont know anything about it other than the ad and picture. Other ads and price are $450, $350, $360, $375, $375 plus just drive around the Foothills and there a few for rent with signs on the gates etc
