Re: Direct TV HD Satellite tripod
When we changed over to HD and DTV does not provide a tripod I simply changed ours to work. I asked the tech for a tube the size needed to fit the big dish and added some of it to the small tube that i had been using. I first drilled a couple holes in the larger tube to allow sheet metal screws to fit. I then drilled them into the inner tube holding it to one side of small tube. I then went to a buddies house and welded them together. I had looked at Dish tripods and they looked the same except the center tube diameter. We have used this for over 2 years without issue. I do get a few looks when we have service come out to get us working when something fails. Call Direct and have them set you up While we are fulltimers we use Direct wave a genie and mini genie. we use a tripod that I added the 2" tube to the top of the smaller tube that they seem to like. We have the slimline dish and 5 LNB. We still do navy showers. we have a house type 6 gallon electric water heater. we can both get a good shower doing this method. We sit seasonally and only have one waste tank. the grey water is able to bypass so we do that allowing our waste tank to last longer and the Dr. Drain treatment o really have time to work.87Views0likes0CommentsRe: Ideas for joining two gates together
you could set a tube into the ground that you set a post in and secure the short gate onto and hinge the center gate from. then just lift the post out of the ground and drag the gate and post to the side. Contact a fence company I do think there are clamp mounts that make a pair of gates into a double jointed gate.390Views0likes0Comments
