We will be heading down in March and looking forward to checking out all the places you have noted. Thanks Again LovtotrkcpNew Mexico Springtime CampingHas anybody been down in New Mexico in the Springtime, March, April, early May? We are going this spring and are considering purchasing the yearly camping permit. We are wondering how crowded the campgrounds are in the spring. We were in Utah last spring and spent most our time camping on BLM lands to avoid the full campgrounds, any info would be helpful. ThanksHelp with fishing in Alaska questionWe are going to Alaska for several months this summer. We want to do some fishing as we travel and I am wondering if our fishing gear from the midwest will do for some stream and ocean fishing. I was planning on taking two medium duty spinning reels loaded with new 15# line. Our rods are medium duty spinning rods. I was going to get a long handle net also. I thought we would buy our baits locally. Do any of you have ides to share? Thanks for your helpRe: Just ordered a Wolf Creek 840If you are one who enjoys a good micro brew. When you are in Grand Rapids to pick it up your new camper, save a little time to visit Founders tap room downtown. Congratulations on you purchase!!!!Re: Picked up Okanagan this weekend-Wow!!Congratulations!!!! The pictures were still up at Tom's, great looking camper. Hope you have lots of wonderful trips.Re: Winter Storage QuestionThanks everyone I have decided to leave it the way it is. Even if i do get a flat spot it will be tempory. I appreciate all your input. Great Website!!!!!!!!!!!! Get out and camp. Life can be over in a heartbeat. Enjoy it while you can, (and fuel is cheaper now) Go Far!!!!!! ThanksRe: Overall Height ???We have a GMC Dually with two extra leaf springs in the rear spring pack and a 5/8" block on the slide side. Our camper is a AF-990. I have checked and we are about 11'9" to the top of the A/C. So a 13'0" door would work fine in you are concerned about overall height. I you want to hold the building height down. Use scissors trusses and go in the gable end, if you lay it out on paper you can have the ceiling just clear the door tracks and still have room to take off your camper inside if need be. Good luckWinter Storage QuestionWe have our camper stored in a wonderful heated building. I have not taken the camper off the truck or put the jacks down. We put it in about November 5 and will take it out in April. My qestion is what about the tires. With the camper on they squat a little, will they have a flat spot in the spring? Would I be wise to drop the jacks and take some weight off the truck. Or am I being silly, the tires are Michelin's, the truck is a dully, the camper weighs about 5000# Thanks for your inputRe: Roll Call Alaska 2015We will be leaving from Northern WI, in May.
