My recipe for campfire coffee is cold water and add my favorite brand of ground coffee. Set the pot in a med hot spot next to the fire and wait till you can't stand the smell anymore and pour yourself a cup, and be ready to serve your neighbors because the coffee smell will have them from the other side of the campground following the coffee smell. true story.Re: To Flash or not to Flash? This is one of my pet peeves. I was taught to flash all trucks because they are bigger than me. But with the caliber of some of the drivers on the road it's scary as hell out there. I have a nephew that drives OTR, and he pointed it out to me, a lot of these drivers out there can hardly read English. If you don't believe me, set in a truck stop like the I 80 and watch, and listen to them. The days of the knights of the road are sadly coming to an end. I don't mean to disparge the lady drivers either. Just my humble opinion SiberianRe: D.O.G.s Dutch Oven GatheringsDoes anyone know if there'll be a DOG in Michigan in 2016?chow chowHelp, I need a good chow chow recipe to keep the boss happy!Re: Spices SourcePenzey"s is A+++++++Re: 50 Ways To Have Your PotatoesHave you tried mixing some leftover mashed potatoes into a Brownie recipe? This is our first diesel truck, we were pulling the 5er with an under powered, over worked 3/4 ton gasser. We were getting about 3 gas stations to the mile with it, now we get 12-13 mpg depending where my foot is. I picked up a transfer tank, 105 gal, now I wonder if it will overload my steer axle? We hope to hit the road as part-timers in 2011. Again thanks for the help, this site has been fantastic in answering a lot of our questions!Re: Whats Your Real Weights? Truck and Trailer. The Real DealOK, I just got off the Cat Scales in Battle Creek Mi. 02 F-350, SRW, CC,4X4, 7.3PSD, auto. 5er is a 1997 30ft Wildwood. Steering axle 4980, drive 4580, trailer axle 6740. Why is my steering weighing more than my drive axle? DW and myself, and 1/2 tank of fuel. Can somebody explain this to me.
