If you are still in Calgary, you could take your unit to Bucars RV just north of Calgary (they are located just west of Cross Iron Mills Mall). They are good folks and will likely take care of you. If there is a recall, I would be very surprised if they wouldn't repair it and take care of the "paperwork" for you. They are good folks and will try to do what they can to take care of you.Re: Progressive Industries Electrical Management SystemToday I purchased a different adapter and will see if this fixes the open ground problem. Progressive Industries has told me that their system does not care or know the difference between 15, 30 or 50 amp services. So they are also suggesting that the adapter is faulty. Well today I had the opportunity to try my new adapter and all works good. So this being said...I have 3 "puck" type adapters and every one of them showed the same, open ground, fault. Guess I have learned something today.Re: Exhaust brakesI have had the Banks brake and the IQ on my 2008 Chevy and have had no issues and would highly recommend it. No modifications to the motor at all. Not sure about having to install a tuner, but I know I did not have to? Perhaps ask about installing the banks brake along with their IQ system?Re: Progressive Industries Electrical Management SystemThis may be a bit off topic, but I have the 50amp built-in with remote and it works great when plugged into a 50 amp or 30 amp service, but when we plug into a 15/20 amp service, we always get an open ground fault? Have spoke with progressive industries, and they don't seem to have an answer other than the plug must have an open ground. But this happens always, not one specific plug. Anyone else experienced this and if so, what was the solution? Thanks in advanceRe: Black water plumbing leak.So it sounds like you will have to remove the toilet, remove the screws that hold the hold the flange to the floor, then tighten. Will have to be sure the toilet bolts line up parallel with the rear wall again, but should not be an issue.Re: Attaching Camera on Back of my Fifth Wheel..RVS-770613-213as Royb mentioned, mount as high as possible to avoid head lights, and below your clearance lights to avoid glare from them. Not sure of your configuration of the rear of your unit, but when I installed mine, I removed one tail light and couple clearance lights, and this allowed me to fish the wire down the back of the unit and get to below the frame. Installed a 1/2" black corlon pipe (cheap water line) to the inside of the frame with plastic wire ties, and fished the wire through this to get to the front of the 5er. Umbilical cord is a pigtail with a male 5-pin connector (my camera only uses 2). Female connectors mounted in truck and underside of 5er by the hitch. Never had any issues. Hope this helps.Re: Black water plumbing leak. The mechanical joint shown above will work as long as there is room. Cut the pipe, separate the pipe and slide the MJ over the pipe, align the pipe again, then slide the MJ on the pipe so it strattles the cut, tighten the clamps and you are done. If it is a small crack and you can see it and access it, you can use ABS glue. Spread onto the crack and done. This actually melts the ABS and will repair a small crack. Do not use silicone. It just wont last.Re: 16 to 18 Fifth Wheel HitchIf it were me I would. One less thing in the back of your mind to worry about.Re: Where to store the wine? Our 5th has a wine cooler built right in. Wouldn't be too difficult to add one though.Re: Water transfer pumpSparky502, what you are thinking of doing is exactly what I have done. I mounted the pump on a piece of plywood and just connect it to the battery with alligator clamps. Works great and have used it many times. Got the pump out of a trailer that was being demolished, bought a couple fittings, and pieces of a less expensive garden hose, and done. Very simple and works fine.
