Every time I set up I put down the stabilizer jacks--and it seems to eliminate any side side wobble. However I still get a decent forward and back wobble. I'm a newbie. Is it that I am cranking the stabilizer jacks too much in the front? Should more pressure be on the tongue? I realize that the jacks I have are only supposed to stabilize (standard jacks and not the scissor type). But in would think I could eliminate this somehow with the standard equip. Unusually crank the jacks to where I see a very small rise in the tire/frame of the trailer. Any help would be appreciated. I'm currently out camping on the navy Coronado island and it is incredible.Re: Another digital thermostat questionYeah I saw this one online but couldn't get it before my next trip. How did the honeywell one work for you?Re: Another digital thermostat questionYeah that makes sense I'm just trying to figure out why one of the wires going into the thermostat comes from the 12 V DC batt.Re: Another digital thermostat questionMaybe a dumb question, but if this is battery powered (AAA batts) why would I have to have a wire from the 12V DC TT battery connecting to the thermostat? Is it just for completing the circuit, etc?Re: Another digital thermostat questionHey everyone, thanks for the help. Can't wait to get out there and try it. I am actually somewhat mechanically capable (fly jets for the Air Force) but when it comes to wiring/electricity I am an absolute idiot. I was stationed overseas and had to hang all my own ceiling lights and got a nice 220V shock a couple of times.Re: TV questions/small travel trailer Dakota98 wrote: Take another pic of the area just above the shot you've already posted & post it also. I believe you have more options than first thought. Also, were you intending on getting one of those 12 volt TV/DVD combo units ? Yeah I wasn't sure whether or not to go for the 12 Volt tv/dvd combo or just get an AC current tv. I was leaning to one of the DC combos--that way we could use it if boondocking (no generator). Any recommendations on one? I looked on amazon and every type seems to have mixed reviewsTV questions/small travel trailerSo, I didn't think we would ever have to install or have a TV/DVD, but now our toddler is a crazy one and we think it might help him veg out prior to nap time. We have a starcraft ar-one 16BH and the layout is weird. In the front we have the dinnette--which we keep folded into a bed full time (mom and dad sleep here in theory). The other bunks are for gear and the toddler. We figure the toddler can watch tv from our bed (dinnette area). We have one place on the wall that says it is suitable for a TV mount--but the cable, DC power, etc is nowhere near that location. I'm not sure why it is there. However, on the other side of the room near the entry door is a "tv console" sort of thing that has a DC power outlet and a cable jack (picture included). So I figure that I would have to get a small LED tv with a dvd player and "set" it on that. If I do that, are there any brackets for holding a small tv in place on a flat surface like that? I only ever see the wall mounts. None of the tv stands that come with small leds these days seem to have screw holes for mounting. One final question: next to the DC outlet and cable jack, there is a small "power" button...what is this for, the antennae on the roof? Total newbie here..... Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated! Re: Another digital thermostat questionSo I went over to the trailer today and took a look at the back of the mechanical Atwood thermostat. As seen in the pic, there are just the two wires. I went to wal-mart and bought the honeywell heat/cool RTH111B thermostat (battery operated). Again, I only have a need for the thermostat to control the furnace. So, does anyone want to chime in and tell me/give me an idea on which wire might go where? I will have to go back and take a closer look, but I couldn't tell if the old thermostat showed any writing or a label for the current wires. My initial guess is that the one with red/white comes from the 12 V DC battery. But I just don't know..... Would like to go to the trailer tomorrow and try to wire it so any help would be appreciated!
