Probably not as good as out on the hood but I can't see my way to drilling a hole in the hood or even putting a magnet base on it. Thank you. Farmerjon.satellite radio and gps antennaHi all I have a 2015 f350 and I need to mo e my roof mounted satelite antenna out of the campers shade. What have you folks do done?Re: Who actually enjoys towing?I too enjoy the trip and the driving and letting the trucks do their work. it's all a part of the RVing package.Re: Not a good tripI'm so sorry for your loss.Re: Squeaking ClutchYes it is most likely the throw out bearing. as has been said if you drop the transmission replace every thing and don't forget the pilot bushing or bearing. With that many miles even if clutch and pressure plate look good replace them anyway. It's too much work to remove the transmission and not replace the clutch and it is preventive maintenance. If the clutch comes apart it can cause a lot of damage.Re: Ordered a new truck to haul TC todayCongratulations. We also went kicking and screaming to an auto shift. but wow we have really gotten use to it and the 6.7 and transmission are an awesome combo. We still have and love our 2000 but when we pull a load with it we miss the power of the 6.7 for merging into traffic and the exhaust brake on the 6.7 is terrific. You will really enjoy your new truck.Re: DOWNgrading truck - sanity check pleaseHaving to much truck is a blessing when things go wrong. Are you talking about a big difference in mpg ? Do you drive enough miles that it would be a large savings?. Are you talking about a new truck with payments vs maybe no payments on your current truck? does your 2011 have a lot of miles on it so that maybe reliability is a factor. Of course sometimes we just want a new truck because??? I wouldn't go down to a 150 or 1500.Re: New Friend wantedI'll just echo what others have said. You can never replace him. He was very unique. but you can began another journey with a new friend and family member. Don't try to duplicate him. Your new friend will also be unique. Enjoy the good memories. The heart ache will get duller.Re: New one on me Passin Thru wrote: I leave mine loose and they tighten up as I bounce down I 95. That's the same method I use for putting things back together u know like carburetors, radios or any electronic stuff. you just put all the pieces in a box and shake it around for a while.Re: Need drop receiver and receiver extensionI have done a lot of welding either fabricating or repairing for myself and others on the farm. But there is no way I would do any welding on a hitch or tow bar. If the weld is too hot or not hot enough it won't be a good weld and the weld can break and the heat can weaken the pieces you are welding together to where they could bend or break. I have seen some really pretty welds fail. Any welding on hitches should only be done my a professional certified welder.
