So I am thinking that a 5.2 Grand Cherokee will do kinda the same, maybe better as its not dragging the weight of the burban. Also I know Jeeps are geared lower than the Suburban, much lower. 60 miles an hour w/out over drive is about 3,000 RPM's! Bit much for my liking. 60 with overdrive is about 2100 rpms. Pretty happy with the purchase as I got it for 3k. Has a bit of H20 Damage but nothing I cant fix easily. Plenty of storage all the way thru and can sleep 8.Re: Towing with a Jeep Grand CherokeeI just bought a 2000 Trail Lite Bantam B23s 23' with a slide, 3500 lbs. I am going to pick it up Saturday with my 96 Suburban 2wd. I dont expect it will know its back there as its capacity is much more. Dont think I will tie the Old Jeep to the trailer as it will be sad I am sure. Thanks for the replies.Re: Towing with a Jeep Grand CherokeeThats what I am thinking I am going to run into. I have my eye on one with a 5.2 in it. better vehicle for sure. So until then I will pull it with my old Suburban. Thanks for the replyTowing with a Jeep Grand CherokeeWould it be possible to tow a 23ft hybrid trailer with a Grand Cherokee? 6 cylinder version? The jeep people tell me it will tow 5K but then again they are in the bidness of selling Jeeps too.
