We keep in plugged up on shore power (50A) at home coupled with a Surge Protector. checked on it last night and realized it was not on. The interior light fails to come on but it does flicker. No cooling AT ALL. Has anyone had an issue with this brand? Is there a "RESET" that can be done before I talk to someone in India that I can't understand and before I haul it to the dealer/service dept? Thank you all in advance..Re: Lippert Electric Jack & Inverter and CONverter issuesKD4UPL, I understand your statement on batteries. I did not clarify it very well. Batteries are new Interstate Batteries and when this s&#t Show started I checked batteries immediately and found that they were week (not fully charged) so I charged them for several hours and then they were back up to normal and were holding a charge. I even load tested both after charged and they were Good. I hope this clears it up for you. Sorry. I am planning on pulling out wall underneath this AM and get in CONVERTER so I can examine and test fuses. If fuses are toast, then easy fix. If not then it’s still under warranty and I’ll let someone else deal it. I’m only trying to figure this out so if next time, outside of warranty, if the event happens then I know the cause. Just hate dealing with dealer, warranty or not Because they are normally 3-4 weeks out from beginning to end. On a side note, I’m assuming that KD4UPL is a call sign for HAM?Lippert Electric Jack & Inverter and CONverter issuesI’ve searched all of the previous threads regarding Lippert Jacks. Arrived at CG on Thursday and went to deploy auto level system after disconnected from truck. The auto system would raise front jacks and then it would stop. I could hear what I think is / was a circuit breaker popping. Unit would stop and I could not auto level. CG attendant came over and looked and we saw that voltage was dropping way below 10 volts at times. I charged both batteries and load tested them and batteries are good just weak. Auto level still would not work. CG guy said that I could have a bad CONverter although it sounds like Cooling fan was running. The Touch Screen from lippert kept telling me to clear faults which required auto retracting all jacks. Did this and still no joy. Had to lower jacks and guess with a level so unit was somewhat plumb. Not sure if Converters fail so soon as this is a 2020 FR Nitro XLR 407. Come home today, unhook and auto level worked fine although center jacks did not deploy. Also noticed that the INVERTER switch inside the door was only showing a green light for 12 Volt and not the normal blue light that says AC In. Even when leaving with main line still connected to truck and a meter on batteries it appears that would charge batteries but not from shorepower. Is there a chance I have a bad CONverter thus no power to batteries and if so why will I not show AC IN at my switch ???? Keep in mind all other systems worked while on 50 Amp Shore Power. I’m perplexed at this point.Yellowstone from South DakotaPlanning a Trip in 2022 from spearfish SD to Yellowstone Nat. Park. We have a 44’ toy hauler and some of the sites we have seen only offer smaller sites. Looking for any knowledge of this area from all of you that have been. Recommendations, Names etc. Thank you all in advance. JbLippert Auto LevelersI have a Tri Axle 5W. It’s a 2021 with the lippert auto level system. My question is this; I use blocks under every jack. Sometimes when the leveling process is finished the two center jacks jacks do not deploy. Dealer looked at it and said it works fine. I agree to a degree. It’s does work every time in my driveway but just returned from a CG and the pads were gravel and relatively level and center jacks never moved. Has anyone ever experienced this or am I doing something simple-stupid?Blackstone GriddleJust purchased the 22” Blackstone Griddle. Curious how folks are transporting in 5th Wh. I’m thinking about keeping in original box but that would require the removal of the rubber feet. Also don’t want griddle surface bouncing all over the place and damaging the burners and housing. Just curious for ideas is all. Thanks in advanceWINEGARD TravLerJust picked up second Toy Hauler which is a 2021 XLR 43’. Have been considering the WINEGARD TravLer SK-SWM3 system but was worried about new wholes on the topside and figured fishing the Coax would be a pain the A$$. Anyway, installing vent covers today and saw a plate that was sealed with factory caulk but the plate said “WINEGARD coax cable located under this plate”. So now my mind is working. Has anyone seen this from the factory? If so, Are all of the needed coax cables under this plate? Is it better to mount forward or aft? Does the WINEGARD TravLer need multiple lines or a single Coax? Is the “juice worth the squeezing ” for this product? In other words is it worth the hassle? We currently have the WINEGARD Carryout which is OK but I’ve been told the larger system has a better chance of getting signal when the smaller unit I have does not. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.Yamaha NPS 5500kw generatorWill pick up our new 5th Wheel toy hauler this week. Was told that generator is a brand new Yamaha NPS 5500KW. I can’t find any info out there on this geny. Do any of you in RV land have any INTEL? ONAN was on spec sheet but dealer says this is a better option over the ONAN. When dealer says it’s a better option, my BU** Sh~~ detector goes into overdrive.Re: A very good reason Not to scrimp on surge protectors.I have read almost all of the Threads regarding this original post. I have decided what style (Portable) and MAKE/MODEL to purchase for our new 5ver Toy Hauler. Seeing that it is a 50 AMP service and I am choosing to go with portable route as opposed to a direct wire, for security reasons, Has anyone here ever "correctly spliced" a portable Surge Protector into your their 50A cord and make it all one piece? Without dealing with the manufacturers "lawyer Answer" would this cause any unwanted electrical concerns? I've even considered that it may void a warranty. Serious Thoughts Please. Thank you in advanceRe: Charging from truck charging systemWell the result to the problem was a blown fuse for the trailer charger. Will have a new BIG fuse in the AM. Thanks again for all that of the insight and ideas.
