It also has a second switch that cycles the motor or will hold it open for service. I have only had one problem with it in 4 years and took it apart and replaced the seal as the water would drain out of the bowl.Re: diesel engine wont startI am pretty sure that is for the technician to hook up a pressure gauge during testing. You wouldn't have the correct female fitting for it anyways, SteveRe: diesel engine wont startIf memory serves me correctly you have a heated air intake on that motor and the fact that you haven't blown yourself up with the starting fluid may mean that the heated air intake grid has gone bad or there is no power to it. Even in 65 degree heat the engine needs to see some warm air going to it to start and that could be why it isn't starting. Of course I could be wrong but I believe my 97 Imperial with that motor had the heater. SteveRe: Arizona (AZDOT) posts new tags for fuel pumpsGood luck getting the rebate at most stations since the cashiers have no idea what you are talking about and don't know how to change the rate. I had a huge problem at a QT on I10 due to the cashier, she insisted that I was to use the RV pumps at the end of the island which has the correct price on it, however I had already pumped in the commercial truck lanes. I insisted that it didn't matter as she still owed me the .008 per gallon. I ended up with my money and contacted the QT home office to let them know of my troubles. What a royal PITA all of that **** is. SteveRe: Towing a 99 Dodge 2500 Diesel pick upI did and they don't have one for this truck. Need to find out if a pump would work for the trans.Towing a 99 Dodge 2500 Diesel pick upI am looking at a 1999 Dodge 2wd diesel pickup to use as a toad. It has an automatic transmission. Is anyone towing one of these behind their motor home and if so what did you have to do to get it towable? SteveRe: At Pismo Coast Village samsontdog wrote: A healthy tree on my property blew over and landed on the neighbors DP MH and the patio attached to there house. Lot of damage but Insurance would not pay as it was "act of God" . The Guy payed a Lawyer to take me to Court and lost as the Judge also said "act of God". He turned it into his own Insurance but he had $1,000.00 upfront he had to pay. If the tree was dead I would have been responsible. The neighbor never spoke to me for several years before he moved I would have offered to pay the deductible. It wasn't very much and it would have been the right to thing to do. I had 3 pine trees only my lot. One of them fell over into the road and missed everything. The others were on the side of my neighbors house. The trunk of one of them was crooked and then straightened out and grew tall. If either had fallen it would have taken out my neighbors garage and driveway. I paid to have the healthy trees cut down so that there would not be an "act of God" incident.Re: At Pismo Coast VillageWow, we will be in pismo coast village at the end of the month. Hope nothing like this happens again.PRe: Possible routes in Idaho with 65' RV and trailerI took my 42' motorhome with my 23' trailer on a twisty road to and from Yosemite. Had no problems whatsoever. Found out later the road is a restricted road with nothing longer than 40' allowed. Oops. Just be careful, watch going around turns, remember that the trailer turns a tighter circle than the motorhome. Have fun!Re: Ovenight in a Truck StopI certainly understand the issues that truck drivers face. When I travel my motorhome and trailer are 65ft and I weigh over 50k lbs. Just like everyone else I get tired and have to rest. The last thing I want to do is fall asleep and kill my family or some innocent person. I always park out of the way when possible so that I am not affecting other truck drivers but understand that since I pay taxes and fuel taxes just like you are I will be parked in one of those spots when I need to.
