If you don't have enough credit limit or money in your debit card checking account to cover the station limit, your card will be denied. I've had my card denied for the second or third pumping with $1000's of credit left on the card, so that explanation doesn't hold water. For that reason I always carry a second card when travelingRe: Good Sam credit card fuel limitsThe lowest limit I've run into is $75 the highest $125. With 84 gal capacity it real easy to hit the limit even at $125. Just deal with it as complaining doesn't do any good. Yes it is the station not the card that imposes the limitRe: Towing a horse trailer with TCYears ago I hauled an 10 1/2" camper and a 4 horse dressing room trailer. I had a 40" extension built for the trailer tongue and ran that for about 8 yrsRe: Glacier Nat'l Park tips?We stayed in Apgar last week. It's a no reservation campground but we had no trouble getting a spot with our 27' 5th. There were sites there accommodating much larger rigsRe: Going to the Sun Road in Glacier NPJust went west to east in the CC dually last Fri. No traffic problems until Logan Pass and the parking lot was jam packed. Then not to far from the east entrance there was some repaving being done and had to wait for close to half an hour before we could go through.Re: Yellowstone glacier NP with no reservationsWe were at Apgar campground in Glacier last week. It's a no reservation campground. Pulled in Thurs about 6:15 p.m. and was told it had just filled a half hour before. Stayed outside the park and went in the next morning and had no trouble getting a spot. It didn't fill on Fri. but By early afternoon Sat the full sign was outRe: single or dually blt2ski wrote: Young folks do not know how to drive BIG twucks! or emanual transmissions! hot rod does not know my kids. My eldest daughters learned with my 05 dually dmax crew cab! Both took drivers test in the 2000 reg cab pickup I have. Granted both are autos. BUT, BOTH can drive manual transmissions. Sons drove my 96 crew cab with a 5 sp manual. They also drive my navistar that is longer than a pickumup! Yes, some do not know how to drive things longer than a prius. Many probably can in reality. Especially those with parent that have longer rigs. I'll take a rig with super singles over a dual rear rig if I had a choice. Marty Go back and read what I wrote. I never said young people don't know how to drive bigger vehicles I questioned whether or not that was the reason for many thinking that trucks such as a CC dually were so big. I also never mention driving a stick. Good for your kids they are not the average unless in a farming area. Back in the mid 80's when she was 15 my daughter was driving a CC with an 11' camper pulling a 4 horse trailer. But I now have a couple of grand daughters who are in their 20's who don't even care to get a drivers license.Re: single or duallyA 69 Comet wasn't a full size car it was an intermediate. My CC dually isn't over 22' long it's just under that and just over 2' longer than a 69 Caddy. Some people shouldn't drive anything bigger than a Prius as they aren't comfortable doing so to others it's no big deal. Just like mountain driving some are fine others aren't.Re: single or duallyI wonder how many of the comments about length of CC are due to the younger people knowing only the smaller cars of today. For us older ones who remember and drove the cars of the late 50's thru 70's especially Buick, Olds, Pontiac and Caddy they really aren't much different in size. Plus back then you needed to know how to parallel park which now for many is a thing of the pastRe: Is this a good deal?Last year when I was looking for a different rig I found the $1000 clean up fee to be kind of standard at dealers. I told one salesmen I thought it only make good business sense to have the unit in great looking shape before putting it out on the lot. He didn't agree, they don't clean them ahead of time and get people for $1000. I ended up buying from a private seller. The last 2 RVs I've sold lasted less than 24 hrs on Craigslist.
