Please advise of RV routes and ferries for a 35' Winnebago towing a Jeep. We want to visit New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Foundland, and maybe even Labrador. Thanks!Re: Floor CoveringJust completed the re-installation of Allure vinyl flooring. Mine was damaged by a screw and the polyurethane glide under the slide. I made a carpet glide from roof flashing with carpet direct glued to the flashing and then riveted that to an aluminum angle. I put the carpet under the polyurethane glide and secured it with the angle to the slide so the entire slide is riding on carpet. No more scratches!Re: Winterizing & Summerizing for SnowbirdsI was not a big fan of Tybee Island Ga. They had many restrictions on dogs and it seemed that parking was always having to be paid for.Re: Road side assistance, 2 thumbs up...Same experience for me...GSRA had a tow truck on the scene within 30 minutes and on a Sunday no less. Then I received a follow-up call to make sure things went as planned.Re: Black water problems curly5759 wrote: Update-- I found an RV service center nearby that I did not originally find on my initial searches. They were able to clear the clog and clean the tank. The tech explained to me the proper way to use the black tank and how to keep it from clogging again. Thanks for your input. Curly Curly what instructions did the Technician give you? If you don't mind sharing them I know there are others that would benefit from the explanation...I am one for sure. Thanks,Re: Interesting Places to see and doCharles Schulz Museum (Snoopy) in Santa Rosa, CA. It was absolutely amazing!Re: Roll Call Alaska 2014 Ernest wrote: We crossed in the USA at Oroville, Washington. So I guess we need to take our Roll Call sign down. We had zero problems and no delay. Only ran into 2 other Roll Callers and that was a life time ago in Valdez. If anybody is still up there; there is a great campground in Telkwa (Fort Telkwa Riverfront RV $28.00)with a free wash and great Wi-Fi and Internet. Down the road in Lac La Hache was Big Country Campground & RV. $28 too and great Wi-Fi and 5 TV channels. The owners of both of these facilities were great. Truly refreshing. Glad you made it back to the lower 48 Ernest. We are leaving Fairbanks tomorrow, will spend the night in Tok and then head down to Seattle. Only trouble we had were some loose screws on the RV cabinets and a rock chip while travelling in Denali.Re: Roll Call Alaska 2014I found that travelling at 55 mph gets me about 6.5 mpg. I am towing a ford e-150 conversion van. at 60 mph I only got 5.1 mpg Speed is a big deal. I don't worry about speed on the hills...when I am doing 28 at the top I am happy to be in my gas powered RV!!Re: Roll Call Alaska 2014Sorry to have missed you Ernest! Hope your trip south goes well for you. Yesterday we went to the Morris Thompson visitor center at the recommendation of a fellow camper and he was right...wow is all I can add. It was fantastic. Then we stopped by Santa Clause House and had a wonderful time. I even had my picture taken with Santa! Today we headed up to Circle...its the end of the road at the Yukon Flats. Not much to see or do but it was nice to be out of the RV and on the road for 7 hours. Tomorrow we are heading up to Chena Hot Springs for the day. I can't wait to feel those healing waters. Safe journeys to all.Re: Roll Call Alaska 2014Here at the Riverview RV Park. Very few campers here and the owners will be closing for the winter in a couple weeks. Heading out after a great breakfast to see what Fairbanks has to offer indoors! Although the rain has let up it is still very damp outside. Another person recommended the visitor center so we will start the day there. Yesterday we stopped by the pipeline viewing area...very cool.
