Our truck is a 2022 F350, 7.3l, 10spd, with a 4:30 differential. It is really a lot better than the 6.2l in our previous truck. In fact, we have no problem accelerating up those big hills even after getting slowed in traffic. Mileage around town is about 13 and towing on a level, no wind, freeway it's about 10.2. It really is as capable as one of our earlier dieselsRe: F-250 vs F-350 srwThe rear axle rating on our SRW 2022 F-350 XLT4x4 is 7230. The F-250 specs show 6340 for same year.Re: Hemet, CA to Klamath River RV Park, CAThe I5 to Hwy 20 route is an ideal way to go. Hwy 20 intersects Hwy 101 near Ukiah and then you can travel up 101 and experience the varying terrain up to Klamath. Hwy 36 from Red Bluff over is not suited for RVs and in fact has been closed or restricted for some time anyway. Hwy 299 over from Redding is very scenic but you would miss a lot of the 101 scenery.Re: Which campground in Redwoods National & State Parks?X2 on the Ancient Redwoods park. Very clean and centrally located.Re: How far is it safe to drive on a blown tire?Your idea of driving to a safe location is really the only safe option. I spent 32 years with the CA Highway Patrol and can vividly remember the cases where somebody did not want to ruin a wheel or something else and the result was injuries and/or fatalities. It probably won't hurt anything to limp to a safe location---pick one that is as far from the traffic lanes as possible. But, even if it did ruin a tire, a wheel, etc., so what! Going 5 miles to the next ramp might not be necessary since likely there will be some extra wide shoulder spot along the way. If not, continuing to limp on may be the best choice (with flashers going, obviously) It is always amazing how some people are willing to roll the dice working on a vehicle right next to vehicles traveling 100ft per second or more. Replacing "things" is a lot easier than the possible alternative.Re: Titan XD towing video.editRe: Titan XD towing video.Surprisingly, they do not offer an exhaust brake. With a tow rating of around 12000lbs that would be a useful option.Re: Hitch moans and groansEqual-i-zer hitch actually offers a neoprene type pad that goes on the "L" bracket where the bars ride. We have used the pad and it does reduce noise and does not seem to negatively affect sway control.Re: 12V outlet Tests at 7.4VCould be that they have separate fuses and the fuse on the outlest with the low voltage has blown---then, you might just be reading feedback voltage. Had the very same symptoms on our trailer and that is what it turned out to be.Re: 299 vs, 36 in Cal. from I 5 to the 101The 299 route is just fine for RVs and is designated a "scenic route." Hwy 36 is not a good road for RVs since it is very narrow and blind in some places. Hwy 20 is an option but not nearly as scenic.
