Think I purchased it a Walmart. Can't find the old metal kind anymore.Re: What did you do to your Toy Hauler today??? lincster wrote: Had a blowout on my trailer going to the dunes this weekend and damaged my fender a little. Fixed the next day!!!!! Didn't think I would ever see this. Michelin XPS Ribs. Tires were 4 1/2 years old. Always checked tire pressure before going. Park under covered parking and park on wood. I am running the same tires and after 1 year the sidewalls are cracking. Discount tire had an(index)or chart to compare what they consider "excessive" but mine are apparently within spec....You lucked out with the damage that you got from that blow out. Good job on the repair.Re: Axel issueAre the tires the correct size? Axles will twist and bend and the distance between the tires will reduce a small amount but if the tires are too big then they will touch under torque.Re: New ball joints needed at 30,000 miles?Find out what the allowable spec's are for the ball joints(on your own)and ask them what kind of reading they got on their dial indicator/gauge or whatever they use. You can't just use a pry bar and see them move 1mm up and down and say they are wore out. Also, ask them to show you if you still don't feel comfortable with it. I had a smaller shop in town tell me that mine were wore out then I took it to Dodge and they said no they are not.Re: Is There Really A Difference Between Brands?A dealer makes money by doing service repairs to either a new or an old pre owned rv. Not sure why that dealer you spoke with would not want to sell a particular new brand. They would make money taking care of all the pdi repairs. Compare warranties like mentioned above just about everything else is the same. There are only a couple of different frame, appliance and hvac manufactures for rv's. Unless there really is a difference at the factory where they piece all of this together.Re: Any Integrated Garage Fifth Wheels? fred42 wrote: I am switching over to a toy hauler from the fifth wheel in my signature. I have a 15' toy so I have to go with integrated garages instead of separate garages. I don't mind this as the integrated garage units tend to be shorter and lighter than the separate garage units. I am also fine with not having slides. I can find many bumper pull units that meet my needs, but don't see any fifth wheel integrated garage units. I am looking in the 32' range, 10-12k gross. I am all setup for a fifth wheel and I don't have any experience with bumper pull. After being spoiled by fifth wheel towing, I feel uneasy going to a bumper pull. Does anyone know of any new or used integrated garage fifth wheel designs? If it was something that was only made in the past, I could go with a used unit but would prefer new. thanks very much for any ideas, Fred What is the width of your "15' toy"? Most TH's in your search category are going to go to about 12 to 12.5' of open garage space from the back ramp/door to the front kitchen cabinet. Unless your toy can squeeze into the kitchen area to get to 15' you are going to have a hard time finding something in the weight range that you mentioned. When I did my research before buying our TH the 28' advertised length TH units all seemed to fit into the 12.5' open garage space and all seemed to be at the same (pretty close) GVWR of 12-13k. The Attitude units mentioned above all had 12.5' of storage when we looked last year.Re: Add a Hitch?Have you thought about adding a hitch to the front of your TV? I have done that for my yz450f and a 4'x8' rack that hung off the rear of my 27' TT that carried a Yamaha raptor quad. I think you would be better off with a front mount hitch on the TV. Not sure what your TV is though.Re: Campgrounds around Mayo Clinic FloridaI stayed in Hanna park back in 2005 for about a week and would do it again. That of coarse was 11 years ago.Re: For those towing 37ft TT, Hitch question Dog Trainer wrote: I tow in the 9,00 lb range with my Blue ox I have never had a problem with sway The bars are rated up to 1500lbs tounge weight. My Blue Ox is rated for 2000/20000#.Re: Is a toyhauler right for us?We use the back 2 queen beds for our teenagers and when we have guests we also use it for them. A toy hauler definitely gives your more flexibility as appose to a non toy hauler trailer and you don't have to haul toys all the time either. Recently I pulled my TH to a high school cross country meet for my daughters school and used it for a place for them to hang out but was really useful when it came time to feed them. I opened up the back ramp door and used that for the exit they all entered thru the front door and served them off of the table in the middle of the TH. Made about 60 sandwiches and served them cafeteria style. Also, TH's are generally a little heavier per foot than a non toy hauler trailer and are also a little more pricey too.
