Saw doc yesterday, gave me a prescription for a Beta blocker..and a warning to stay away from caffeine and other stimulants like pseudoephedrine products, and cocaine and meth (just kidding). I feel pretty good today. Hope it lasts. I went through the same thing, going so far as being admitted to St Thomas Hosp in Nashville TN. They sent a thing up my leg artery to see if there were clogs. It went up to my heart. No crud in my arteries. It was caused by CAFFEINE!!! Caffeine can cause these symptoms. Either cut back drastically as I did, or switch to caffeine free coffee and soft drinks. It does last as long as you avoid stimulants like caffeine.Re: Hard to move from low power rates Murphsmom wrote: I live in southwest Idaho. On level pay, our gas is $39/month and electric is $75. Hard to beat those prices. And what are your heating bills in winter? Winters there are long and cold.Re: What do you do to your house? We leave the electric on and the heat on 50F. We leave a few lights on on timers so the place doesn't look "abandoned." Water is shut off at the meter in case of electric failure during a cold snap. We never had the traps dry out and we've been gone as long as 5 1/2 months in winter. Bills are paid online. One neighbor picks up the mail and another waters the tropical plants we leave. I leave gallon jugs of water for her to use. We never had any problems.Re: Update on Cat with Skin and Hair IssuesIt's so nice to hear GOOD news. :)Re: Cat with Skin Issues and Hair Loss crouseman41 wrote: Thanks for the responses. The cat was adopted as a kitten from a shelter. She has never had fleas and is a strictly indoor cat..... It's past time to get a second opinion. Good luck.Re: Hello from Florida dixxi_moon wrote: ....Hi everyone. I live down here in Florida & was wondering if anyone ever comes down to the Georgetown/Lake George area?... Isn't that a bit far north to spend the winter for snow-birds?Re: Hello from FloridaWhere are you folks who live in FL spending your summers? We recently bought property in the Ocala area but would like to spend summers where it's cooler. Please give me a few ideas? Carolina mountains? Northern PA? I don't know where else to ask this. Thanks.Re: The Pet Stop Boards, sure's been quiet, ...Trying to get everything packed up to move to FL. I haven't had as much time to spend online. We've got an accumulation of stuff from the last almost 30 yrs. All has to be sorted - what to keep, what to toss, what to sell on Craigslist and what to donate to Charity. I would have loved to foster kittens over the summer again but that is out now that I need a walker due to a hip problem.Re: I am at my wits end on trying to give medsHave your vet show you how to open her mouth safely and ask for a small balling-gun or pill-pusher to get the med' in her mouth safely. Vets in NYC would have them but I find here in TN they do not for some reason. You may need to order one online.Re: Class A versus Class C Motorhome Bumpyroad wrote: haven't gone back thru the thread so might be a repeat, but it goes without saying to look at the unit with the slides in to see if it is livable and everything needed is accessible, such as bath. bumpy This was important to us also! I wouldn't even consider a rig where you couldn't get to the bathroom or bedroom (wherever) with the slide/s in.
