I lock it to a leveling leg under my slide so I doubt any one knows it is even in use.Re: Minimum clearance?I have right at 6” and coming out of an uneven driveway at a a gas station I almost touched the bedrails.Re: Front compartmentYes the cutout is for a generator. Not sure why he is calling it a wet except for the fact that the slots are open to the weather. I would also reinforce the flor to make it stronger and weather proof.Re: Side tiltI have a Curt Q20 and it can tilt 360 at all times.Re: 6 point auto levelers with JT strong armsI don’t use JT strongars as the slight giggles don’t bother me. I do use manual mode to re level.Re: New 5th wheel adjustmentA couple of questions. Is it sitting level and below 13’6” high. If so keep all the clearance you can. My 5th wheel is 42’ long and on uneven ground I have had the 6” of clearance I have drop to less than an inch as the truck tilts one way and the trailer the other. As for which to adjust I would raise the hitch to allow for more clearance of stuff in the bed.Re: Generator Fuel UsageDue to the changing load over several hours I use the formula of 2 hours per gallon.Re: Long Bed TV as a Daily Driver???I have the longbed and the benefits of more room, higher cargo capacity, and no special hitch required for clearance of the 5th wheel outweigh any slight issues with it being a little longer than a shortbed. It is my daily driver.Re: Upgrading tow vehicleWe got our new 2017 Silvardo 3500HD Duramax longbed crewcab DRW in June. It’s our daily driver and we love it.Re: Lightweight FW Jim@HiTek wrote: What's your intended use? 5th-Wheels are generally better for making one or two trips a year and staying parked the rest of the time. Snow bird style. That’s news to me. I picked up our new 5th wheel in June and have been out 5 times so far and the next trip is planned for mid January with no issues. Now maybe the lightweights are a different story but mine is built solid. 2017 CC Silverback 37MBH 42’ long and 16k GVW
