Not sure how much it cost or where you can by one. If you are out camping with it now and need A/C try opening the breaker for the converter and not charging your batteries when you want to use the generator. Works for my genset and 15k A/C unit.Re: Honda Generators for Air conditioningWe have a 15k BTU a/c unit and 2 2k watt yamaha inverters. I switch the 15amp breaker for the converter off when I fire the a/c. Works every time and once it's going I can turn it back on. A little bit of a pain but I just love the two small generators vs. the big guy.Re: Solaire TT Blew Over in StormOur first trailer was a 2005 salvage title that was totaled by the insurance company from cosmetic hail damage on one side of the trailer (aluminum). I have no doubt they will total yours also.Re: Real world numbersI have a 2011 version of that truck and have a 35 foot camper with comparable weights. I have weight distribution and air bags (I didn't like any squat) and it tows fine. I think you will enjoy it.Re: Propane level monitordometic makes one the size of a large pen. Has a rubberized tip on it that you place perpendicular to the tank. You push it in and if it runs red there is no propane at that area. Move it lower and try again, if it turns green you have propane at that level. Works great and I can use it on my propane grill at home. My parents bought 2 at an RV show in FL for $10 each. I know they were mismarked because everyplace else I see them they are $45 or so. Thats why they bought 2, it works great but at $45 I'm not sure I would have had them buy me one.Re: Outdoor KitchensThe biggest benefit of our outdoor kitchen for us is when I cook things like bacon, it doesn't fill the trailer with smoke and that lovely bacon smell that may not leave for a while. I would be hard pressed to buy another trailer without one.Re: Where do you boondock.I like to go to the motorcycle races, motorcross or streetbike and dry camp at the track. Best seats in the house!Re: ? much help will 3/4 ton make for ride quality comp to 1/2?I went through exactly what you have described about two years ago. Went from a 25 foot 5k lb trailer to a 35 ft 8k trailer with a 2009 F150. One trip with the new trailer and I decided to get a used 2011 F250 6.2 gas. It does a lot better job and I look forward to our trips. Not to say that I couldn't have towed with the half ton (I would have been over payload though because the 920 lb factory tongue weight was 1,230 once loaded) I just didn't like the way it felt. I had an equilizer setup, so it wasn't the best hitch system, but it works great on the 3/4 ton. Folks tow more than I have with a half ton, I've seen it and I'm glad it works for them, there is no right or wrong here. If your able to get a bigger truck I don't think you'll regret it one bit. Happy campingRe: Not the problem I was expecting to have dodge guy wrote: Pwac1968 wrote: Update: Husband just mentioned a fire pit. We are so going to need a truck. Almost all campgrounds have fire pits. if they don`t have one then they probably don`t allow fires. Topsail RV park in FL doesn't have fire pits, but they do allow fires in your own elevated pit. It's the first time we've ever run into this and it seems goofy, but at least we are allowed a fire which is one of the top 5 things we go camping for.
