The trailer with the blowout was parked on the side of the road with the fire starting from that area. Fires start all the time near Redding from the most simple of things. It is a very dry area and 100+ temps with low humidity is very common all summer long. edit to add photo gallery with suspect trailer https://krcrtv.com/news/shasta-county/firefighters-battling-multiple-fires-near-whiskeytownRe: Quick connect fitting for propane tank questionThanks everyone. This was the info I was looking for.Quick connect fitting for propane tank questionMy new Jayco had a quick connect propane fitting. I have a coleman bbq I would like to attach to this. The coleman normally runs of the small green tanks but I also have an adapter hose to attach it directly to a 20lb tank. Is there a hose available to purchase for this? I was wondering if both the trailer and the bbq having a regulator would be an issue?Re: Black tank valve replacement Jayco 26BHI did, they told me take it to the dealer.Re: Black tank valve replacement Jayco 26BH opnspaces wrote: Oh and a new valve is $14 which is way cheaper than the gas to pull the trailer 100 miles. Thanks for the reply. I bought a valve that goes on the end of the pipe for now, always wanted one for backup anyways. Ill tackle the main valve when I have the time.Black tank valve replacement Jayco 26BHI have a new Jayco26BH and while dealing with a list of quality control problems I have found(not happy) the black tank leaked past the valve on the first use. I flushed it really good yesterday and got lots of metal shavings that are throughout the entire trailer from construction out of the tanks. I flushed the valve multiple times and have found it is still leaking so one of those shavings either ruined the seal or is lodged in there. I figured it shouldnt be hard to replace only to realize i have to remove the sealed underbelly to access the valve. Anyone have to unbolt their underbelly? I'm hoping its just a few screws to gain access to the valve. Nearest Jayco dealer is 100 miles away and would take a few trips just for a valve. They wont let me take it to a local place so i'm on my own to fix it. Sorry for the rant..I just dont like having issues on something brand new..Re: I think this forum is dangerousI have towed my trailer with my TowMax tires thousands of miles without incident. Lots of mountains and even logging roads full of ruts and rocks. Check for damage, pressure, and temp everyday. I once learned on this forum that merely swimming in a river was a death wish as you may contract some sort of virus. Best to not take everything here as gospel.(Probably just cursed myself.)Re: 6000 Mile Trip!Sounds like a fun trip. I have gone on a few camping trips into the wilderness. My friends dad always brought a new journal and we would write everyday about our journey. It is so much fun to go back and read it. I never realized how much you forget. Thanks for the updates.Re: trailer not chargingMine uses a 40 fuse.Re: Soft spot in front of exterior door...2008 Skyline Layton 208 ltd.
