The sulfur in the acid sticks to the lead plates and hardens on the plates if not knocked back off by charging...so yes, you killed the battery by leaving it in an uncharged state.Re: Amarillo, TX RV ParkYears ago, maybe 5 or so, we stayed at the A-OK camper park just off 40 exit 80 (?). We were forced to get off the road because of high winds. I took the first park I saw. This at the time was a put you money in the envelope in the envelope and slide it through the slot in the door....12 dollars at the time with Passport America discount. Hardly anyone there but the outer edge had permanent residents. We had to stay 2 days because the wind was 40 mph sustained with 55 gusts and I was being blown all over the road so safer to just stay put. It served its purpose but by far is no resort. Never felt unsafe though and it was hardly any activity of any kind. Wide open sites in a row is all it is. Hard to say if anything has changed.Re: Robot Tolls - At My Limit!I got one out in Utah for being in the HOV lane. Well there were 2 people in the vehicle and I was towing the trailer but I am certain I was never in the HOV lane. I ignored it. Not paying for their mistakes and dishonesty. As it is I avoid tolls like the plague and run secondary routes as much as I can, a much more pleasant drive without the usual Nascar wannabees road raging at the "old" people pulling trailers.Re: Electrical issue. BB_TX wrote: I would open up the wiring junction box on your pin box where the trailer cord terminates. There will be a wire from the 7 pin cord with a wire for the backup lights connected to a trailer wire, likely with a wire nut. Disconnect that wire from the cord. That will at least stop the trailer from backfeeding and turning on the truck backup lights. You might even find the wire problem there. Could be the backup light wire has somehow come in contact with the 12 volt wire in that junction box. 7 pin wiring This is exactly what I did. I saw no issue in the box to indicate the problem. At least I can get home not worrying about the power feedback. Thanks for the response though.Electrical issue.I went to hook up the black tank flush the other day and noticed the back-up light on. OK, obviously something charged that circuit, a worn wire or something. I plugged into the truck and the truck back-up lights came on. Great....now what? I can possibly isolate the back-up light pin and disconnect it to prevent the power feedback to the truck. I have about a 4 hour trip home from where I am at and don't want to chance some other damage if that's possible. Any suggestions on this issue? The trailer is a Keystone Laredo 334RE travel trailer.Re: I have a disgusting problem… HELP!!!Actually, in spite of the long trip I think I would deliver to them the personal property they left behind. Make sure you can roll it off the trailer onto their property. No good deed goes unpunished.Re: Tampa, FL: Lazy questionCan't locate a storage lot? Good luck finding a campground for that time period too. They are likely all booked by now. You have a dilemma on your hands with no good answer.Re: New Orleans in April 2024We've stayed at New Orleans RV resort and marina before. It is a nice park and at the time was safe and secure. It's been a few years since we've been there so don't know how it may have changed if at all. They have a shuttle into the Quarter too if you don't want to drive and the return schedule suits you. I would stay there again. We've also stayed on the north shore at Abita Springs RV resort and that is very nice also. It is a Coast to Coast park but I think takes non members. The drive into NOLA isn't all that bad.Re: Thinking about going to 2024 Calgary StampedeAs a plan B look up the Pendleton Roundup. It takes place mid-September in Pendleton Oregon.Re: Atlanta,GaI would look at secondary roads to go around ATL. 16 to Macon and 80 over to 20.
