I've been wanting to make one of these towel racks and you've made it look as if it's quite easy to put together! Thanks! :)Re: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & Gizmos bhh wrote: Just got back from our first week-long outing in the new TT. One thing we found lacking was towel bars. Even with the over the shower drying rack, the towels did not dry well because it was cold and humid outside. Looked at different options to hang towels outside in nicer weather especially without having the awning out. Ta-da! Two and a half pieces of 1/2" Schedule 40 PVC, some Ts, elbows, and end caps and we have a drying rack where the vertical parts are friction fit and it all comes apart into a flat pack. To fit the towels, roughly 15" across the top bars, 5" apart, and 30" off the ground. emergenciesWe usually camp in pretty much the same places each year. So, awhile back, I looked up on the internet, where the emergency rooms, or urgent cares were located near our frequently used camping spots. I put this in our pickup so it would always be close by, in the event one of us was ill or injured enough to want a dr. but not call 911.Re: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & GizmosWe love our folding leaf rake that we bought at a garden center. Very strong and it folds up lengthwise and widthwise.Re: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & GizmosI went to the dollar store and bought a small rectangle baking pan that would accept magnets. I screwed it with one short screw to the wall between our microwave and the fridge in our small TT. It's just the right size to hold a few magnetic spice cans (for rubberbands, twist ties etc.)a magnetic note pad and clips. Things that are always getting lost in a drawer. I love this forum! I check it almost daily. Thanks everyone.Re: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & GizmosI stuck 2 of those small push button battery lights on each side at the head of our bed in the TT. They give off a soft light. Now when I wake up and want to read in the night, DH, sleeps peacefully on without being disturbed. :)
