If you give me a hint of what your interests are, I can give you some suggestions. My folks lived there for years, but my sister still does so she is a good reference for currently available possibilities. Restaurants, shopping, golf? The greater Ft. The Sleeping Bear Dunes are so cool! When we were there we had a wine tour service pick us up at Indigo Bluffs and take us out for the day on the Leelanau peninsula to the wineries. Read with interest from wildtoad that MBSP was closed because we are headed there Saturday. This may be an update, but I just checked scstateparks website and MB state park is not listed as one of the closed parks. We have reservations for 9/16 for a week. Too early to tell which direction it's going to go. Might have to change plans -- might not. We will be traveling from Traverse City to the upper peninsula in a few weeks. When I mapquest it, the time for travel is virtually the same for hwy 31 as it is for 75. My question is -- is 31 a good hwy or is it full of lights and small towns? I have a 40' fifth wheel. I'm not opposed to seeing the sights, but i just don't want surprises. We have a 2013 Open Range 386flr. Loved it from the moment I saw it. You do have to go up into LR and also up into BR. But we are only in our 50's. Use it or lose it! Because both ends are elevated, we have lots of basement storage. I have 3 sons over 6' 2" so heAd room has never been an issue either. You just have to look at the different models available and see if it fits YOU. There are always plenty of people that find reasons it's not right for them. That's why they make so many!
