The caster angle is set to go FORWARD not back the front wheels cramp in one direction or another & bend the towbar. I f they don't cramp off you can back forever but usually 3 to 10 feet they will cramp resulting in buying a new tow bar. If you can find someone stu*** brave enough to steer the toad be sure to stat it so the power steering helps. I tow a Buick Enclave 4-down full of gas & some junk it weighs 4,600 & my gas class A is rated to tow 5,800, but the hitch is rated at 5,000 I am under these limits. I use an SMI Stay & Play brake system (no noticeable junk in the car & nothing to store). Most all G M products are towable 4 down The Buick ENCLAVE is definitely towable according to the Owners Manual. Mine has about 40,000 miles behind my class A. I have SMI brake system & Blue Ox tow system. When the pins are pulled tho only thing you see is the 6-way receptacle for the umbilical cord. Really a clean installation for any App.Blue Ox is a really great company. They have a free, Beautiful RV Park on the edge of Pender, NE & will check & service your towbar & plates for free. Pull fuse #32 I think or install a fused charge line between the coach & toad. The owners manual for my Saturn Vue that has the same transmission and engine is very specific on towing. Start engine, Run through gears, idle in NEUTRAL for 5 minutes do Not put in Park or Reverse after the idle period (if you do run another 5 min in Neutral). Every 7 (seven) hours whether towing or not repeat procedure!!!! 90,000 towing miles & 115,000 driving & no transmission problems the BOOK must be right. I changed the transmission fluid every 50,000 miles & switched to Synthetic the first change. Just my experience. Dennis432Views0likes0Comments
