It looks like the coach didn't get blown over, but maybe one of the others was blown into it. I'm curious how insurance would handle something like that. Each carrier handles the individual insured units.Re: Violent Windstorm, no roof D.E.Bishop wrote: Well after a violent windstorm with gusts in the 70 to 80 mph range, most of the fiberglass roof of our rig sailed away. Estimate is 13K for a new fiberglass roof. Called Progressive and they made me jump through some hoops while knowing from our first call they would deny our claim. I can see their point of view, beside the loss of $13,000. What I can't abide is them knowing before the adjuster came out that they would deny the claim because my rig is too old and had deteriorated. Cancelling and going back to ACSC. New roof going on is a rubber and has a twelve year product guarantee and three year workmanship. Coast RV in Agoura is doing the conversion for $7500 including all new fitting on the roof except the skylight which is just a few months old. All claims have to be investigated. They certainly could not tell you over the phone your claim was denied or approvedRe: Ev charging in camps expectation of availability, costIn Norway, they use twice the amount of electricity per capital than the US because of the EV charging. Just where would we get this electricity? In Germany they have had to resort back to fossil fuels because all of the solar is covered in ice and snow. Can EV, possibly. Is it the cure all, not likely.Re: It might begin very soon rhagfo wrote: BB_TX wrote: Ultimately they will likely be safer than human driven trucks. Imagine how full of integrated circuits, complex mechanical components, and communications equipment (for Internet and/or satellite connectivity) ... those trucks will be full of. All of that can, and will, fail here and there over time. I hope that transportation regulations require those trucks to be clearly marked - including distinctive night lighting - so that the rest of us can stay well away from them on the highways. P.S. Maybe I spent too many years working in the integrated circuits industry and too many hours watching those cable reality shows about big rig accident disasters in Alaska - most which have nothing to do with human error - but can be blamed on 80,000 lbs. of freight inter-acting with the laws of physics. I worked in the IT sector also, it isn't only hardware, but the software that runs on it. Too many time in the rush to deploy new programs, there were always a "Work Around" or a situation that wasn't tested. what happens when the road is snow covered, and the chains required signs are up??? And all of those chips made in China!Re: Tow Vehicle Liability InsuranceProgressive is not very good at handling your claim! May be cheaper but you’ll pay in the end.Re: Overnight parking going places?RV Parky appRe: Class C RV BombJust for the record, Marcus Lemonis put up $250,000 to add to the reward!Re: Collapsible ladder? I have been using Fusion2Go with pretty good success.
