I put some screw on furniture bumpers (Home Depot) on the bottom in places that would keep the board from sliding around using the burner grates to "lock" it in. 10 years and thousands of miles and it has always stayed in place during travel. Bonus - a nice cutting board to use inside and outside the RV. Safe travels.Re: Not bad for 11 years and 240,000 miles.Rig in sig. 56K miles. Nothing but tires, oil and filters. Zero problems. At 72 years old, last truck I will own.Re: Smoked Chuck RoastI have an apron that says, "No matter what happens, we're eating it." Now that's funny right there.Re: Patching Trailer Cover Grit dog wrote: Cool! It should work for a good long time. Good idea keeping a swath of old fabric. I kept the old fabric to use as summer shade cloth for sensitive plants. Glad I did. Safe travelsRe: Patching Trailer CoverFor anyone interested, the 3M 77 spray glue works well on the cover fabric. I applied patch on the outside of the cover extending about 6" out from the tear. Then I applied a larger patch on the inside extending about 12" out from the tear. The patched area was a little stiff, but it held up fine when I put the cover back on. Safe travelsRe: Patching Trailer CoverThank you both. I think I will try the 3M 77 first and see what happens. It looks like a quick and easy fix. I will be taking the cover off next month and I will let you know how it worked. Safe travels.Patching Trailer CoverI have an Adco "AquaShed" cloth cover on our trailer. It is coming apart where it goes over the roof mount air conditioner. I have a large piece I saved from a former cover (same material). I was thinking of gluing a section on the underside of the cover to reinforce it where it goes over the AC unit. Anyone tried this or know what type of glue would work? I'm not expecting a long-term fix, just maybe get another season out of the cover.Re: Door Switch?Thank you all for your help. I have found that pulling and then replacing the fuse to the radio will "reset" things for a day or two then the problem re-occurs. I have an appointment with the dealer next week. I'll let you know how it shakes out. I'm an old school kind of guy and when it comes to computer controlled trucks I'm way out of my league. Thanks again to all. Safe travels.Re: Door Switch?Fisherman - how do you adjust the time? Turtle n Peeps - what is a BCM? Thanks all.Door Switch?I have a 2013 Sierra 2500HD, 6.0 gas. Normally when I turn off the engine and open driver's door the radio turns off. Now it stays on and I have to turn it on and off manually. There must be other things that the door switch also turns off because if the truck sits for a week or so the battery (which is fairly new) drains down. Does this sound like the door switch, or is there some sort of relay that could be sticking? Thanks in advance for any thoughts on the matter.
