It is manufactured by Phoenix Faucets and here is a link to their web site, http://phoenixfaucets.com/store/product/p4402pb. The faucet is available with several different handle styles.Re: Norcold 1200LRIM Cooling Unit FailureMy response is my experience with the Amish cooling unit. I had a Dometic 12 cubic foot refrigerator cooling unit fail after 13 years of constant use since we live in our motor home full time. Since neither Dometic or Norcold make a replacement refrigerator that would fit in the same opening as the original Dometic I felt the only choice I had was to replace the cooling unit. I had heard a lot of good things about the Amish cooling units and contacted Davis Force to order one for my refrig. It arrived on time, I picked it up and took it to my local certified dometic repair facility and had them do the installation. Drove the rig back to the rv park where we stay and after three days of operation the refrigerator still would not cool. Took it back to my installer and after doing the required testing deternined that the new Amish cooling unit was leaking. I notified the Amish cooling unit manufacture and they said they would send another unit ASAP and pick up the failed unit. The 2nd new unit arrived and I had it installed and after another three days it still would not cool and this is after all the electronics had been replaced. I called the Amish CU factory again and told them what was going on and I had decided to go ahead and replace my old refrigerator with a residential model instead. They said that they would refund all my money including the origainal installation costs. I should have gone with the residential unit in the beginning instead of trying to deal with the repair of the old Dometic. We found a nice 10 cf frost free for $350 which fit in the existing cabinet opening. Also because the new refigerator was 12 inches narrower than the old Dometic we turned that space into a pull out pantry and gained a lot of extra storage space. We already had a large battery bank and a 2000 watt inverter/charger off of which the refer works just fine when boondocking. My next project will be to install an automatic generator start to the coach. They whole ordeal above took about three months during which time we had to live out of a large ice chest.Re: Motorhome brake upgradeI do the same as jorbill2or when I need too. However, when I am in the correct gear with the exhaust break on I rarely need to use the service brakes on a grade. In the 13 years and 80,000 miles of driving this motorhome all over the US and Canada I have never overheated the brakes.Re: Class A Axis/VegasI do not know why your husband would have problems with OSB as the subfloor material. Our motor home is 13 years old and we have been living in it for the entire time and have had no problems with the OSB subfloor in ours. Three years ago we replaced all the floor covering and the OSB still looked new.Re: Class A Axis/VegasAccording to the Axis brochure the floor structure is OSB over steel framing.Re: If DW sees this...I'm DM (dead meat)!I solved that problem by moving full-time into the motor home twenty years ago!Re: California Hwy. 299Traveled this route twice in our motor home with no problems. Compared to the Alaska Highway through The Yukon Territories it is a super highway!Re: Don't want Dish's "Pay-As-You-Go" planThanks for your replies. I had a hunch it was possible. Also, I just received an e-mail from Dish stating that I could indeed sign up for any of their progamming packages that they offer. I wasn't limited to the ones included in the "Pay-As-You-Go" plan.Don't want Dish's "Pay-As-You-Go" planWe are considering the purchase of the Winegard Pathway carry out satellite dish and two Dish Network ViP211z recievers for use in our motor home. Since we live and travel fulltime in our coach we have no need for the "Pay-As-You-Go" plan from Dish. We would like to sign up for one of their programming packages under a two year contract. These packages are quite a bit cheaper than the ones included in the "Pay-As-You-Go" plan. So far I havn't been able to get an answer from Dish that this is possible with portable satellite systems. Has anyone out there been able to do this?Re: Residentail refrigerators in motorhomesThe one I am installing does not draw air from the front, it has the coils on the back of the refrigerator. This is why I will be leaving the outside wall vent and the roof vent open. I plan to install a sponge rubber gasket between all four sides of the refrigerator and the cabinet.
