All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRV Magazine SubscriptionI currently have active subscriptions to both Trailer Life and Motorhome. Beginning in January, both of these become RV Magazine. My question is will I receive two copies of RV Magazine until one of my subscriptions expires or will RV Magazine combine the two subscriptions into one?Re: Best route from Montgomery Al to Panama City FLIf you are going to Panama City Beach, I drove 231 to Troy and then took 87 to 167 around Enterprise to the Florida line where it becomes 79 all the way to Panama City Beach (Hwy 98). Lot of two lane road, but when I went that route in November, the traffic was relatively light and the road was in good condition. This route avoids Ozark and Dothan. I think the route you take should probably be dictated by whether you are going to Panama City or Panama City Beach.Re: Just where do you get 40" wiper blades?Email njohnson@dieselequipment.com She will get back to you with what you need. Diesel Equipment provides most wiper arms and blades to Tiffin. They are very helpful and the prices are reasonable. As others have posted, you can probably use a shorter blade which will do the job and in my case actually worked better.Re: Shingles,,, how many have gotten shingles after vaccination!Had a mild case several years ago. GOT the SHOT about 2 years ago. If the shot works, it is well worth the cost and avoiding the pain. Hard to describe the pain and discomfort even a mild case caused.Re: Tru Vision wiper armCall Diesel Equipment and speak with Neenie Johnson. She will take care of any Tru Vision issues. Best to order on the phone rather than trying to order on line. They know the arms and wipers for the specific coach you are trying to get parts for. They will also tell you about any "tweaking" that you will need to do to get the arms "just right".Re: Extended Service ContractAnother member with a positive experience with WW.Re: Typical Fuel Mileage You Get With Your Gas or Diesel Class AI was getting about 5.0 MPG before the EGR cooler and other stuff failed. After $20,000 outlay for new EGR and complete head assembly, I am proud to report that I am now up to 5.5 MPG. The coach is a 2008 Newmar Dutchstar 4304 with a Cummins ISL 425 which weighs about 45,000# and is towing a Ford F150 crew cab. Plan to carry it to Cummins Midsouth in Birmingham after tax season to see if they can help. Given my size and weight, I am prepared to just live with it. I can truly say that I have not owned a 40' coach which has ever gotten better than 7.2 MPG, but the drive and ride has always been worth the price.Re: Tax Question for full timersEffy and Dubdub07, everyone needs to be aware of a recent Tax Court ruling which disallowed business deductions for expenses associated with the use of a motorhome. I have not studied the case in detail, but its implications were at first glance a cause of concern for those of us who have claimed business expenses for costs associated with the use of a motorhome as a business expense. As to the original question, interest on a qualifying motorhome are deductible as personal residence interest and the property taxes are also deductible on Schedule A as itemized deductions.Re: Driver & Passenger Side Window White HazeRV FOG Dr. in Searcy, Arkansas does good work at a price similar to Suncoast. I had four windows done in late April. They have good 50 amp parking and did an outstanding job of all of the windows. They also offer other body and window services.Re: Toyo M143 tiresHave run two Dutchstar DSDP's with this tire for over 40,000 miles on each coach. The ride is harsher than with Michelins, but the price is much better. The Toyo's performed well and I was overall pleased with them. The sidewalls on this tire are very stiff, but you can run a slightly lower tire pressure based on the weight/pressure tables.
