We never experienced this with our previous camper and only being the 3rd time out with this one I was thinking something might have came loose underneath since the camper was really contorted pulling into this site. I poured a bucket of water in the toilet when I got home and flushed it and a couple seconds after the toilet was flushed I could smell it outside and the wind was blowing the other way so I am pretty sure its not the roof vent.Sewer smell outside camper when toilet is flushedWe noticed this weekend while camping when the toilet is flushed you can smell a real strong odor of sewer outside the camper. We were not hooked up to a sewer line. The site we were on had a slight slope to pull into it and the camper was really leaning when pulling into it. Could that have loosened something under the camper to allow the fumes to exit? It has a sealed under body so I took the screws out to look up by the black tank and it was dry so I know it's not leaking. Looking for some kind of direction to look since the dealer is 1 1/2 hours away and this is only our 3 time taking it out. Thanks!Re: Prowler black tank flush MFL wrote: I'm sure if yours is that way, others are too. I have not seen any on the opposite side, but I suppose it is a cost cutter, and easier install for the manufacturer. It would be a pain at the dump station, I'd just dump a bucket of water down the stool and call it flushed. :) Jerry I never thought about that, all this time I have been doing it the hard way with a hose and wand that I stick down the toilet. This is the first camper I have had a flush option, but dumping a couple buckets of water down the toilet is easier than messing with a hose at the dump station.Re: Prowler black tank flushI agree it should be from the opposite side but they could have put it on the same side as the outlets and ran tubing to the other side. I was just curious to see if any other trailers were like this.Prowler black tank flushI noticed that the black tank flush on our Prowler 32PBHS is on the other side of the trailer. Why in the heck would they do this? I am assuming I need to carry an extra hose to connect to the water supply and walk around the trailer at the dump station in order to flush it? I wonder why it's not mounted right were the dump outlets are? Does anyone else find this odd?Re: Camera for back of trailer 2manytoyz wrote: BiggD wrote: Thanks for all the replies. I think having a camera back there to be able to see what's going on and make changing lanes easier would be beneficial but I can see where you are coming from with judging the depth of the camera and how close an object really is. As with anything else, you will be able to judge better the more you use it I think. I will check out the links you all provided and do some more searching. You are absolutely right about being able to judge distances accurately with a little use. Case -n- point: We met friends at the Beachcomber Resort. We ended up with campsites that were back to back. Without a spotter, this how close I parked without concern. While that may look an easy campsite to park at initially, here are the two trees I had to thread the camper through at the same time. :B Wow.. now that's a tight spot to get into.Re: Camera for back of trailerThese cameras that you hard wire, do you make the connection at the hitch and it is just another connection you make when hooking up? Is there any special considerations you need to take into effect for weather proofing it? Are the cameras powered on all the time?Re: Camera for back of trailerThanks for all the replies. Are there any recommendations on what model to get? Wired or wireless? Thanks!Re: HEY we need a sticky for our TT pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Picked up our new toy over the weekend! Upgraded from our 2013 Salem 26TBUD to a 2016 Heartland Prowler 32P BHS. Dealer upgraded us to a 14K series Equalizer and the truck pulled it with ease. We are excited for our first camping trip if spring ever decides to show up.
