It is shorter than my pickup... we also carry a vintage Honda scooter on a front mounted carrier. It is great for short hops and park roads...Re: About to buy our first RVSome of the things we did to our 19CB: Front receiver hitch for bike rack or scooter rack. Also good for extra ice chest. Ditched the useless dinette table. I made a mini-table/make-up table for the wife from one of the uprights and a large cutting board. Get a cover for the range. I made one from, you guessed it, a cutting board! (Not much counter space...) If it does not come with swivels for the seats, get some. When you get parked, the swivel seats really add seating space. There is NO room for a trash can inside, except for a small one beside the commode. We use a pop-up type outside. Added shelving inside the bed area cabinets. Lots of other stuff too! We are getting better at it every time we go camping! My wife, the smartest person I know, keeps a pad/pen handy and writes down every idea we come across while out.Re: About to buy our first RVWe have that exact model! WE LOVE our 19CB! We had very specific reasons for buying a 19. We wanted a small one, so we could use it for multiple purposes. The 138" wheelbase makes u-turns and cramped parking lots a breeze. The 21' overall length means we can park in ONE parking spot. (We live near Galveston, and go to the seawall a lot. We fit into one spot without overlapping.) When we go to a concert, or outdoor festival, we bring the 19CB. It gives us a spot to relax, cool off, and have our own restroom facilities. Also, cold bevs in the fridge, LOL! We camp at least once a month. For us, it's perfect. Quick set up, and very comfortable. The outside storage is epic. I am still finding ways to store and carry things there! You will love your 19CB! There are a few minor issues you will find, but overall it is a unique and very useful little RV.. Jim in TexasRe: Raise door, or install low profile A/C? Freelander 19CBLOL! Love it! Actually, where I come from we would have said, "Hold my beer and watch this!"... and got a runnin' start!! I decided to be a kinder, gentler Texan! LOL! JimRe: Raise door, or install low profile A/C? Freelander 19CBWell, I bought the Coleman Mach 8 and had it installed. It bought me 5 inches, works like a champ and fits in the barn!Re: What did you do to your Class C MH today???Dropped it off to have a new Coleman low profile air installed, so it will fit in my barn!Re: Raise door, or install low profile A/C? Freelander 19CBThanks for the advice, Teachers Pet! But an 8" reduction in my floor would be a pond! I am on the coastal plain at about 7' elevation. My house is raised but the barn is at grade. first rain and it would flood. I am very close now I think... Oh and no sweat on the header. It would be sandwiched on the backside with a 2 by 12...Re: Raise door, or install low profile A/C? Freelander 19CBLOL! The thought crossed my mind! I scraped the approach down a bit with my loader... now I am lacking an inch or two! Where there is a will...Re: Raise door, or install low profile A/C? Freelander 19CBMich, I actually drove it in right up to the ac unit...Re: Raise door, or install low profile A/C? Freelander 19CBThanks for the replies! I am awaiting a callback from the dealer, to see if he can arrange a swap without hurting me too bad. The unit have never been run, except to check function... Raising the door is the second easiest option. Lowering the floor might work in another part of the world, but on the gulf coast it would put me below the water table! LOL!! Pretty low here! Thanks!!
