We let ours run the night before . Just before we leave , we turn it off and I put re usable(frozen) ice packs it the fridge and freezer . We have a LARGE cooler that rides inside the camper that holds meats and any mayo based salads.

We have a Passport and love it .. Lots of storage. The only problem was a leak under the kitchen sink that was warrantied - no problem. We will replace the mattress that came with our , but until we do, we have just put a queen air mattress on it for now . I wish I could find a club of passport owners. So far- NO LUCK As of June 2014- our camper has been parked in AR, AL, MO,FL But once DH retires -- Look out USA here we come !!! ONE suggestion: SPend the money for the stabilizer bar .
