Our first TT was a 1978 29 ft raised rear bedroom Wilderness. We gave it up only because we couldn't keep ahead of the leaks in the roof. But it was a great unit and easy to tow. We still have many fond memories of iit.
My 1996 2500 Suburban is still going, albeit it isn't towing anymore - our TT is permanently parked in a nearby campground. These Suburbans seem to last forever if given a bit of attention. So don't panic yet......just take care of yours until GM s...
