Anyway, I seem to manage to forget it on top of the propane tanks every other time I drive off. About 5 - 10 minutes into the drive, typically around a turn or coming to a stop, I hear this pipe fall down and start rolling away! Aahhh!! I can't believe I haven't already lost the thing.Re: Short RV Park/Campground Website PollA lot of the timeRe: I40 in ArizonaI just got back to California after visiting the Grand Canyon. I read this post before the trip and was really worried about the road conditions. After driving on I-40 it really wasn't that bad. There were some patches of rough road. There was one patch that was bad along some of the windier areas and it didn't help semi trucks are flying by me at 70 mph. Maybe I built up a tolerance to poor roads living in California. If you want bad roads, drive I-5 through the Los Angeles area.Re: Wheel chock questionRun-away trailers has me thinking: what if you anchor the emergency brake rip-away cable somehow? In the event it starts running away the cable pulls out and engages the brakes. I'm sure campsites wouldn't mind campers hammering anchors in their asphalt??Re: Simple photo adjustment programI use Google's Photos (used to be called Picasa). It's free and simple to use and it does the simple mods you're looking for. There's also free optional photo storage that will back up your cell phone pictures automatically.Re: Why not paint tires for UV protection?? camperkilgore wrote: I don't think tire paint will stop the main attacker of tires, which is ozone, which destroys rubber Yep.Re: Oven Temperature VariationMine is almost exactly as you described yours. It's horrendous! I can't tell you how many burnt frozen pizzas come out of that oven. The thermostat must be in the back of the oven or something. There's definitely a hot spot back there. Meanwhile the front of the oven is 50 degrees (guessing) cooler. I learned to rotate whatever is cooking to accommodate the uneven cooking.Re: How early to Yosemite 32 foot Travail TrailerStayed there late March this year and had plenty of waterfalls. Also stayed in June and the waterfalls and rivers were even better, but the weather was so hot. As far as trailer sites...you'll have to look at the site list on the reservation website. They list the sites that can accommodate your trailer. Like you've heard, there aren't that many.Re: towing mirrors questionI use the same/similar mirrors on my 2013 F150. No major marks; there might be subtle blemishes that can buff out. The other day I tried taking them off and they were stuck! Turns out the puddle lamp at the bottom of my truck mirror melted the tow mirror plastic and it fused to the puddle lamp lens. Thankfully I was able to eventually release it. If your truck is equipped with puddle lamps under the mirrors, be sure to cut/drill out a hole in the tow mirror to accommodate the lamps!Re: F150 3.5 Ecoboost-length and weight of camper you're towingGrand Design Imagine 2950RL. 33 feet.
