Let me see what I can do Let’s talk about that great Grand Design build qualityI own a 2016 Grand Design Reflection 313RLTS. I’m a member of the GDRV Owner’s forum. We’ve all heard about how GDRV is supposedly better than the Thor’s, Forest River’s, Jayco’s etc. well folks, I’ve had enough. I’m ripping off this bandaid and going to expose them for what they are. Keep in mind - none of these are pictures of my RV, but I’m willing to bet that EVERY one of them could be mine. I’m pointing you to a specific link on the owners forum. You decide. GDRV: This must make you very proud... https://www.granddesignowners.com/forum/showthread.php/21147-Rear-Underbelly-StuffRe: Tolls in FloridaYou will regret traveling on Florida toll roads without having a SunPass. I believe they cost $10 and the convenience is well worth it. Many of the toll roads no longer have manned toll booths - which means you get the bill in the mail - plus I'm sure some administrative fee.Re: Leaving a trailer year round in the US. JaxDad wrote: If the trailer was Americans registered it would be no issue, it’s not though. I think the part folks are skipping over here is that the reason you can cross the border without paying any taxes or duty is because of an exemption that “personal possessions” can cross the border free because they will LEAVING with that person, just like your luggage or anything else you brought, I.E. cameras, phone, jewelry. If it doesn’t leave the country with the tourist when they leave, it’s considered to be IMPORTED into the US. Likewise, it’s technically illegal for a Canadian insurance company to sell insurance in the US as they’re not licensed to do so. That might a claim a ticklish matter. Not true. My sister-in-law has a winter home in Zypherhills, FL. They have plenty of personal things things that they brought from home in Fort Erie (clothes, dishes, etc). Works exactly the same way when we take stuff to our Fort Erie home from down here.Re: Leaving a trailer year round in the US.This article sums it up pretty well. Not illegal; you just need to make sure you’ve got it insured here with a US company. https://www.primelinkinsurance.ca/blog/how-insure-rv-or-motorhome-when-you-take-it-south If you leave your Canadian license tags on it - and they’re current - then no one is going to question whether you’re “importing” it into the US. It’s only here temporarily - no definition of “temporary”. You fully intend to take it back home - eventually. Keep it tagged Canadian and you’re fine.Re: Any other gas stations giving rv's gas discounts like Pilot? wanderingbob wrote: Seven cents off Pilot Or Flying J ain't a lot since they are 40 to 60 cents higher than other stations in my travel area ! Pretty much agree. The local Pilot and Love’s are charging $3.01/gallon for diesel, whereas the station right next to them is $2.82/gallon
