Maintenance every year no matter how much we use it. We average about 6,000 per year.

WOW we have been driving our motorhome for 17 years with the same refrigerator and have never had the doors open up while driving. There must be some kind of defect with yours or it needs an adjustment.

We have a Maxxforce engine in one of our trucks. It's been nothing but trouble and cost $$$$$ to keep going. Our mechanic said the worse engine out there. I would walk away from one now.

Do yourself a favor don't use OSB board. That will deteriorate when damp or wet. One of the worse products to use. Use Advantech it will hold up to standing water.

We always use the credit union. They hold the title. I walked in paid my balance on the loan they handed me the title. That was quick and easy

Re: Diesel vs Gas
In my opinion it is much easier to drive a diesel pusher that a gas MH. A pusher is also quieter. The engine never seems to strain like a gas engine. The ride is much better. I always seem to have a lot of power.

We use 100 in front and 110 on rears. Have done this for 18 years this works best for us. We have a lot of weight 35,000 lbs to hold up.

Re: Insurance declared value of used motor home
Please do yourself a favor. On our first diesel motorhome we had ACV. We had it in indoor storage. Two years later the facility burned to the ground. The insurance company wanted to give us 1/2 of what we paid. It took us one full year to settle the claim. We did get more than what they originally offered but it was far from what we should have gotten. On the motorhome we purchased to replace it we now have a stated value. We can't live thru that again. Chances are we will never have another total loss but if we do we will get what we paid.
