I'm from SD well.. 55+ years..Re: Mail Service for RVers that Looks Like a Street Address :::J & B, I guess I just don't know enough about the mail subject yet.. Still relatively new to full timing and believed that you had to have a "residence" address in the state for Ca... so that is great news then.. The bottom line is that although I am traveling, Ca is my home and I'd like to keep the plates.. Also, while I have never actually had this experience, I have heard that tags will not reach you if Ca DMV detect what they deem to be any sort of PMB... thanks for the response...Re: Mail Service for RVers that Looks Like a Street Address :::Thanks to all for the great responses.. My feeling on a US Post Office box was that the address actually reads PO Box and I am certain Ca DMV will not send to one.. I had forgotten about Escapees.. I think I'll take a closer look at them...Mail Service for RVers that Looks Like a Street Address :::Today something happened that did not make me happy.. I am in Florence Oregon and only hanging out here until the January Southwest Desert comes around again. I got a temporary box at a "one off" appears to be a family run place called Shipping Solutions here in Florence who advertises their services as "looks like a street address" like so many do these days.. The price was good and the people are great but today I went to the Lane County Library to get a new card and of course had to show picture ID and 2 pieces of mail with local address all of which I did. She stared into her computer screen and said "oh looks like this is a shopping mall..?" Of course I told her the truth and explained how we need to do that since home is where we park it and she turned me down for a library card and tried to sell me a special permit to use library services.. I looked at her screen and it actually showed pictures of the mall and the Shipping Solutions storefront.. Does anyone know if the higher end places like a UPS Store box shows up this way too because my California DMV will not send tags if they see this...Re: Free Camping BLM around Bend Oregon! Thanks Guys, yes I'll admit I'm having a special kind of fun out here.. I love using my 2 pensions for their intended use... Having some fun, traveling, seeing American and above all else.. being retired! For me, full timing was tough at first but after a few months I think you become empowered in a way that is tough to describe.. For sure you get to see the soft white underbelly of society and the crumbling middle class.. I have met the best people on Earth out here... Common ground is a good thing in more ways than one...Re: Free Camping BLM around Bend Oregon!Thanka Esox...Coastal Oregon Free Camping?Hi Guys, I'm in Florence Oregon area and love it here! I have stayed at Coos Bay and Port Orford (beautiful place!) and seeking info on Forest Service maps or known o/n spots off the beaten trail. Would love to do a meet up if anyone is out here with similar interests.. Any input appreciated.. MorganRe: Free Camping BLM around Bend Oregon!Hi Guys, update to Hugemoth and the quorum.. I have been back to full time for over 6 weeks now and while there have been some worrisome issues with the camper.. I love it! I am hanging out in Florence Oregon now and have found several acceptable overnight spots but most seem to "expire" all too soon. I am sending out this quandary over the RV.Net proverbial "loudspeaker" to all in hopes that some may have dispersed or any other O/N info for Coastal Oregon in general. It now appears that my health is vastly improved at sea level (lung issues) so until it is time to do the Snowbird thing, I need to stay low!!! Question: Is it true that National Parks always allow some areas of free camping and that State Parks never ever allow it? Today is Sunday Aug 28 and I am planning a trip to Waldport tomorrow as there appears to be a FS Office there. I am interested in maps and more info on staying free!! Any input appreciated..Re: Fresh Water Tank Leaking Badly!Hi Guys, ok first I have not been feeling well and so not doing much of anything in the way of work. I appreciate every one of your responses and there is no doubt I need to look at this soon. Joe, thanks for the mention of your extra tank. I will get back to you after I do finally pull that step off and get a look in there and may make you an offer on your tank if still available. I will post again soon and have some new & dilitory concrete information on this problem..
