Hi Gene, Here's the insurance quote you requested. Total 6-Month Premium for your policy: •Monthly Payment: $1,649 •Pay in Full: $8,677 or call 1-855-332-8503 and mention Quote Number 10735829 to complete your purchase, or Review Your Coverages. With the Good Sam Vehicle Insurance Plan offered exclusively by the Good Sam Insurance Agency, you'll enjoy Guaranteed Claims Service Satisfaction, specialized RV benefits and much more. We'll be happy to customize your policy when you call 1-855-332-8503. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< This quote is for $17354 a year! You are asking "What did you do to get this kind of premium rate?" Well the short answer is "I don't know!" I have had insurance with Geico for over 15 years with NO tickets and one claim 4 years ago. And the one claim I had was a no fault claim that someone else did to my wife's car. Now Geico tells me I had a claim in April 2015 so they increased my rates by 271% as of 7/7/2015. My big crime was I backed into a mail box post at a friend's driveway. About $1600 claim. I have been checking other companies and they all want to do the same. Good Sam is the highest of them all with $17354 per year. Geico wants $8122 per year and Progressive wants $6564 per year and that's just my two cars - no RV coverage. I do have a firm quote from Farmers for $4204 per year for my 2013 Dodge 2500 Ram and 2012 GMC Arcadia and my 2015 Silverback fifth wheel. Can you even imagine paying $1649 a month for auto insurance????? In five years the insurance would cost me $86,770!!!! What is going on with Good Sam???? I am a member and I have a loan for my RV from Good Sam. Should I throw my Good Sam card in the trash?????WHAT IS GOING ON WITH MY AUTO INSURANCE??This topic has been moved to another forum. You can read it here: 28374596How is your auto insurance?I have had Geico Auto insurance for about 15 years, so when we bought our new 5er last February we added it to the Geico insurance. Not a bad deal (so I thought) at that time. The Geico is due to renew on July 7. I received a renewed policy from Geico for my insurance earlier this week and I thought the quote seemed a little high so I gave them a call to ask about the increase in my premiums. I was told that I filed a claim in April against my Geico insurance and I had another claim back in November 2011. I told the guy on the phone that I had not had any claims before that or been ticketed in over four years so why would that make my premiums go up so high. Of course he didn't know. So now here is the kick in the face from the Ugly Ass Galapagos Iguana, not the cute little green lizard that you see on TV. I was paying $1772 for 6 months for my 2013 Dodge 2500 & a 2012 GMC Arcadia with the 2015 Silverback 5er. Because of the claim in April they now want me to pay.......................................................................... .............................................................................................. $4098 U.S. Dollars for six months an increase of about 231%. That is $8196 per year for auto insurance. NO WAY JOSE!!!! You want to know what the claim in April was for?? I backed into a mail box pole at a friends house. A $1600 claim! I looked on line at that cute Little Flo's insurance company (Progressive). Looked like a good deal. $1278 for six months for just the auto. Right! So I called them on the phone, they asked who I had had my insurance with. I told him Geico. He said let me put you on hold while he worked on a quote for insurance. When he came back on the phone he said I see you had a claim, so the price will be a little higher that the price you saw on the web site. Are you sitting down to read this???? Progressive's quote is $3282.15 for six months and that was without the RV. I almost dropped the phone. Out of desperation I went down to talk to "Farmers" they have my home insurance. The quote from Farmers is within reason $1329 for the two cars and $773 for the 5er RV. And after looking over the coverage from Farmers there is more that I have been getting from the Ugly Ass Galapagos Iguana. I'm not sure what the moral to this story is, these are just the facts.Re: Roll Call Alaska 2015 MissouriBird wrote: Reservations Confirmed--Ready to Roll!! We confirmed our reservations for the Northbound Alaska Ferry departing from Port Rupert on July 2nd. Will make numerous stops on the way, (Ketchikan, Petersburg, Skagway, and Juneau) leaving the ferry in Haines on July 16th. Can hardly wait--it is beginning to seem real at this point. I will be seeking recommendations for camping at any of these spots and/or things to be sure to see and do in each of these ports. Advice and suggestions are welcomed. I retire on May 18th--what a way to start off retirement. Hope to see some of you along the way. North to Alaska---can't get much better than this. How did you make the reservations? Did you have to make a reservation for each port of call or are you able to get off of the ferry in say Slagway and then catch the ferry two days later on the same reservation? We hope to take the ferry going south out of Haines.Re: Dish Trav'ler installing haddy1 wrote: If your "pre wire for Travler" is the same as my coach, the coax and data cable should already be there.
