Battery box install in Palomino
I recently bought a 2000 Palomino Bronco truck bed pop up camper and I do not like the fact that the battery has to fit through the little cubby hole and be outside the camper during cold weather. Plus it's a pain in the butt to hook it up each time the camper is put back on the truck. I would like to mount a vented battery box in the space where the water tank resides and vent it out the front of the camper. This would position the battery in a more convenient location in close proximity to the converter. The wires could be easily rerouted fro outside the camper to the inside. Has anyone done this? Buy an ACME 3 way valve and screw it into the tank. Then attach a hose specially made for this application to the valve and then to the grill. Do not use a hose longer than 12 feet or you will leach out the oils from the propane and do damage to the grill. There is a short video on Trailer Life TV on You Tube on this very subject.
