We found driving with the 5er was more stable - wind doesn't bounce you around as much. Set up at the campground is faster with the class a and backing in is easier. Just have to unhook toad, which we flat tow. Went from a 30ft 5er (1 slide) to a 40ft Class A (3 slides)and were surprised to find we have less storage space in the Class A. More living space, though. We had used the truck bed for extras and had not fully appreciated how much of the under-the-coach storage areas are consumed by utilities - the propane tank, electrical panels, and aqua-hot until we started loading up. We changed how we travel a little - stopping at a centrally located place then taking day trips instead of going to a place, sight seeing, then moving on. Travel safe.Re: St George UT dry campingI am taking a one day (all day) class near the riverside parkway exit off I15. I have a dog that I will leave in the coach while I am in class. I need to check on her during the day without missing too much of the class.St George UT dry campingIn October I need to find a place where I can park for one day and an overnight near I15 in St George. Does Camping World in St George allow that? I understand that Walmart does not. Any other suggestions welcome. Thank you.GFCI receptacle 03 ScepterCan't find the GFCI receptacle in our 2003 36PST Scepter to reset. The wiring diagram I have is labelled 38-40 ft PBDD Camelot / Scepter, a different model; the wiring diagram indicates the GFCI is located in the bay. Notes on the same drawing state Bath GFCI. Have looked in the bays and the bath, no receptacle. In case they hid it, even removed dresser drawers, emptied kitchen and bathroom cabinets, still no receptacle. Anyone know where they hid this thing? Thanks.Re: Up grading TV's in used Holiday RamblerWe ditched the old clunky TV and reclaimed the space. Got a cabinet maker to make a frame that mounted on piano hinges. The TV (wally world) mounts in the frame and serves as a cabinet door. The space behind is perfect for my printer as electric outlets are in place already.Re: Albuquerque Balloon RaceWe are planning for the Balloon Fiesta in 2015 .. I saw on the Fiesta web site that dogs are not allowed on the grounds - does that include in the vip dry rv camping area? Thanks.air force one helpWe decided to go with an air force one brake controller to tow a 2012 ford edge with our 2003 holiday rambler scepter coach. After we purchased it and had it shipped to our rv dealer, they looked ast the installation instructions and said they would do the coach part of the work but not the car part of the install. I am working with the manufacturer to locate someone to install this, but the closest I can get is 3 1/2 hours away. I am in Sioux Falls SD. Can anyone suggest someplace I can get this done closer than Minneapolis or Council Bluffs, IA? Thanks.Re: would you purchase a rig that has had odometer resetThanks to all for the input. It's given me some more things to consider. :-)would you purchase a rig that has had odometer resetHave narrowed my rv search down to three candidates. One deisel rig has had the odometer reset. After reading the odometer comments on the tech forums, I have come to the conclusion that this is not an uncommon occurrence. The dealer said there was a mistake made when they jump started the unit when they picked it up. It "fried" the controls which have since been replaced, but the unit has 30,000 miles in it rather than the 50 miles reflected on the odometer. This is a reputable dealer, so let's assume what is stated is correct and the title will reflect the difference appropriately. I will most likely resell this rig in 4 or 5 years. My question for this forum is ... would you avoid a rig because of this issue? Thank you.
