I’m not recommending this vendor but did notice they show the mounting plate with hole pattern. Not sure what brand you are referring to but they probably also show the mounting plate with its associated hole pattern. I know my Rieco Titan mounts have multiple holes. Regarding cost, the Rieco Titans are more expensive than Atwood. I too have a negative impression of HappiJack.Re: Truck camper and pulling a boatThe center of gravity of the camper should be over the rear axle. Too far behind the axle and you will be faced with steering problems. The camper should have the CG marked on it or available from the manufacturer. Hitch extensions derate towing capacity. A lot to consider when adding a camper. Keep asking questions and researching. Best of luck.Re: A/C and a generatorThe motor plate attached somewhere on the a/c unit should have both the starting load and the running load. Kayteg1 is correct regarding actual vs design but unless something is significantly wrong, they will be close to the same.Re: Electric jacks and powerHappi Jac calls for 40a supply from the battery to the circuit board. Assuming each motor draws equally (they won’t due to the differing weight each jack lifts), the individual current being drawn would be 10a. No explanation for “flat” battery being able to run the jacks unless the battery charging circuit is good for ~40a.Re: AF 1150, couple of questions Bedlam wrote: Prior to 2012, the manual said not to take it off the truck with full tanks without supporting the bottom. Later models can be used with tanks filled or empty while unloaded. Is the model you want with a wet bath or dry? The wet bath gives you a bigger shower. Ours is a 2011. No mention of it in the manual.Re: AF 1150, couple of questionsRe: use off the truck. I do not find that in my owner’s manual. We use our 1140 off the truck quite often. We have not had any problems.Re: First time TC owners, questions before we buy!Typically, we store our 1140 as recommended by Arctic Fox. I have nailed together three sets of 7 2x6s about 5’ long which are placed cross ways under the camper. Offloading requires lowering the TC onto the 2x6s.Re: Looking at buying a new truck for a camper, first timeAs has been stated here often, select the camper then buy the truck to carry it. In your case, you will need to reserve payload for the tongue weight of your trailer and as noted, the hitch and extension to get past the TC bumper will add weight. The issue of daily driver throws a kink in the mix. IMHO you will not end up with a nimble daily driver if you properly size your truck to carry a single slide TC and tow a 5klbs boat/trailer. There are a lot of variables to consider: diesel or gas, two wheel or four wheel drive, single, extended or crew cab, manual or automatic transmission...Re: Fast Gun locksI use them. Simple and convenient. Adds a level of safety to assure the fast gun stays closed. Prevents tampering and theft.Re: Scissor Steps determining how many steps you need tattoobob wrote: Gripnriprod wrote: Here is the info for TorkLift GlowSteps. https://www.torklift.com/rv/glowstep-revolution The Glowstep Revolution is for travel trailers and 5th wheels https://www.torklift.com/rv/glowstep
