Intellitec Battery Disconnect Relay
I'm troubleshooting this relay on my motorhome and I'm just not getting anywhere. While in storage I use this device all the time. On my monthly startups and genset exercise, I engage the relay from my dash switch and hear the typical "click" associated with energizing the relay. 12 volt power is present and I start the engine and genset. All is well until it comes time to shut things down. The process I follow is engine off, genset off and relay off. However, the disengagement of the relay is requiring more and more button pushing. To engage takes one push of the button, but to disengage requires many, many pushes and if lucky it will disengage. Is this a signal of a failing relay? Any discussion is welcomed. As a casual observer, I can appreciate using scrap wood where possible. But, has your frugalness caused you to lose sight of the application? My thought is marine grade plywood would have been a much better choice considering where it's going to live. For what it's worth, I pulled my 1141's out of my ceiling lights and replaced with LED.....not very happy and will probably go back to 1141's. LED's are bright at the fixture but the brightness diminishes not too far from the fixture. For example, when the ceiling light is "on" and I'm at the sink washing dishes, the sink is dark because my body blocks the light and the brightness does not project as far as I like.
