I have only REALLY needed 4 wheel drive 4 or 5 times in the last 10 years. So I guess some would say I don't need it, and I could have saved money by not getting it. But I think that having 4 wheel drive those 4 or 5 times was worth every bit extra that it cost. RDS 60 gal/tool box, gravity feed,diesel only, installed with northern freight install kit. I've been using it since 2006, and would not be without it. I like to switch it on to refill the main tank when we stop for lunch (Takes about 30 minutes). Then I fill the aux tank when we go out for supper at our campground. I like to think I'm wiser in my old age, but maybe I'm just more cautious. If I knew the hurricane was headed to me, I would load the camper up and go camping, about 300 miles inland. Come back home when services have been restored, and see if you need to call the insurance company. Having "hunkered down" thru several hurricanes, I can tell you thru experience that there is no reason for you to "live thru it ". There isn't a darn thing you can do to fix problems as they occur. I used to think that my water heater was too hot until I measured it with a food thermometer. It was right at 120 degrees. just where it should be, so my equipment was working like it should. I did not consider adding a mixing valve because my wife likes to scald dirty dishes, and I'm not dumb enough to tell her how to do it.93Views0likes0Comments
