You select this choice and then the camera you want to pair then you need to press the monitor pairing button on the camera for 3 to 5 seconds. The camera will then pair and start to show a picture on the monitor. I just had a Vision S with a rear and 2 side cameras added to my trailer. The manual that came with it didn't say anything about pressing a button on the camera. If you go to Furrions website you can download a manual plus their technical support seems to be top notch so don't hesitate to send them an email or call. Good luck.Re: Water FiltersI purchased a whole house 10 inch filter at Menards along with 2 3/4 inch spur fittings, 2 water hose clamps at the local auto parts store, 2 pack of wound cotton filters and a white water hose. I think it was about 35 buck in 2008 and it works fine for us for 11 years. Then bought a new travel trailer and wanted to enhance what I was doing so I headed back to Menards and bought another 10 inch whole house filter and a 3/4 inch nipple. I now have 3 filters that I use, one in the camper that Forest River installed with a KW1 filter and 2 outside the camper with a string wound sediment filter and a multi-layer carbon wrap filter. I have about 50 dollars total in the whole setup and I get a 2 pack of the sediment filter for about 4 dollars and the carbon wrap filter is about 15 dollars. That gets me through the camping season without any issues. Again this is what I do and I am happy.Re: ROCKWOOD HW296I own a Rockwell HW256 and I love it. For me Forest River did a great job when the built my camper. It has a 12 foot box and for the wife and I it is pretty roomy, add 1 more person and it starts to get tight and with any more it is too small. I think the 16 foot box is way roomer. I would suggest you go find a dealer with both and go inside each one. I think Forest River is one of the better RV companies. The lift system on my camper broke and Forest River took care of the repair completely under warranty.Re: First Aid KitsWhen my kids were young and we would travel the wife thought it would be goo dot have a first aid kids just in case. We looked around for one that had a good price. I then took the list of what was in it to our family doctor and asked if it had everything we would need. He gave me some additional items to add that we would need. The wife then went out and purchased them. At that point we felt real comfortable with it and as I recall we always had what we neeeded to care for the kids.Re: Mt Rushmore CG'sWhen we went we stayed at the KOA in Rapid City. I know some people do not like KOAs but this one was real nice with a wonderful shower house and laundry room and the price was not too bad either. I want to say we went in June. It is also close to grocery stores, Wal-Mart, and other place we always seem to need to visit. Just my 2 cents.Re: Dropped my CW and GS membershipNormally if the junk mail includes a postage included envolpe I usually drop that in the mailbox, empty of course unless it need the paper with the address in the address window and mail it back to whomever sent it to me. I see no reason for them not to have to pay the postage since I didn't ask for it and most of the time I don't want it either, this applies to all junk mail. The wife doesn't do it so I guess I am somewhat of an ass but I don't care.Re: JackingI can only speak for my trailer, a Rockwood HW256 and the manual states to change the tire jack the camper up on the camper frame and never on the axle pr any part of the axle. I am not saying anyone is right or wrong just what mine says.Re: Keeping track of trip itineraryI use a manilla envelope for it which I write what trip it may be for dates, etc. I print out all of the reservations, local stuff we want to see, any other information I think we may need, etc. I then place it in the envelope in order based on date. We leave the wife gets into it and rearranges it to some order that only she understands and no other human being can follow nor make sense of. Usually I review it at the end of each day so I know where I am going the next day, find I can't understand it, hand it to her and she is now in charge of getting us from place A to place B. Unless I feel like I can take the champ I say something about the mess and then that is when the fight starts. I have to say she is undefeated in her weight class and we have husband and wife for 30 years now.Re: Just got it this week!Very nice. We have a Rockwell high wall but it doesn't have the handle next to the door and sometimes it is a challenge for me to get up and in but I guess that is just age. I see you have the same cover on the propane tanks that we had and yes that is past tense, we lost ours the second year we had the camper some where in South Dakota enroute to Mount Rushmore I would suggest you check and see if there is a way to modify it if there is not some type of cord on the bottom.Re: could someone 'splain... Propane tankMy guess is they will take the top off and look inside with a scope of some type. This is just a guess on my part.
