The trailer is a destination trailer so guessing you are on a seasonal site or land you own so how often if ever would the slide get closed.Re: Outside ShowerI used mine once to warm up after river tubing for 6 hours but other than that the door is only unlocked to winterize and de-winterize.Re: To make the bed or to not make the bedWe keep it made but do not wash the sheets after every weekend. We usually wash them after a few trips so maybe once a month. They get put back out and the bed is made before we leave again. Towels and clothes are washed when we get home and put back in the camper as soon as they are folded.Re: Highway DrivingIt varies what I do but am generally in the 1st or 2nd lane with the cruise control set at 62-63 as I like to keep it under 65 as per the tires. Anyway, if I am in the 1st lane and someone is coming on the highway, they have the yield sign, not me. They eith have to hit the gas pedal or wait otherwise they find themselves driving down the breakdown lane. Not my issue, it is theirs.Re: Truck floating in front of travel trailerOnce you lower the ball and get more weight on the front tires of the truck with the hitch it will be better but might never be perfect.Re: Need to park it for a long time (just venting). When we were going to take some time off from camping due to all the weekend activities we were doing we went seasonal. Once set up it did not matter if we were there for a night or two, or an hour or two. We were able to camp a lot more since we did not have to have reservations or set up.Re: 30 ft TT with outside bathroom door and kitchen islandThe outside bathroom door is a great feature and on many trailers, great for using the bathroom without needing to go through the rest of the trailer. Also great for when you are dumping the tanks. Most trailers with a room with three bunks is going to be about 35-36 feet. We have a 35 footer with the room, the door and an outside kitchen. For us we do not like the island because the slide comes out under the awning and thus you lose space outside.Re: How I solved my dirty laundry storageWe have a laundry shoot but we find it easier to put a hamper in the second bedroom.Re: Keeping Cooler During TransitWe have everything closed up when on the road. When we plug in we turn on the AC and by the time we go in for bed it is plenty cool inside. Good luck.Re: Long Hauls and Restroom Breaks GaryWT wrote: Simple rule when we travel with or without the trailer, when we need gas, you can go to the bathroom. In the car that is about 400 miles... I should add when I was on heavy chemo and drinking lots of fluids, I sometimes had to stop twice on a 1-2 hours trip.
