All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: crossroads elevationI have a Crossroads. I would not recommend them to anyone. They have a quality control problem. It might be luck of the draw, but I didn't luck out. We looked at a few Voltage V-Series 5th wheels, they seemed nice, but I can't speak from the perspective of owning one.Re: Are there any quality RV manufacturers? 2008Wildcat wrote: You take a home, and put it on wheels and drive it all over the country, and you don't want to have any problems with it?? How cute..... That's pretty condescending. To be fair, after I have "driven it all over the country" I would expect some problems. What I don't expect is a laundry list of problems after I have driven it home from the dealer. I appreciate everybody else's helpful suggestions. I can see that the industry as a whole has some serious build and QC problems. I looked at the Tesla 3212, and it was nice, but still suffered in a few areas. I can't afford (don't want to) the Momentum, so we will probably deal with the problems we have rather than buy some new ones.Re: Are there any quality RV manufacturers?I just did a quick google of the Grand Design Momentum. Now nothing less will do. Add that one to the list to check out. Pricey, but maybe that is what it takes to get something well made these days.Re: Are there any quality RV manufacturers? We looked at an Amped, it did seem a little tighter altogether. Unfortunately, we are looking for a garage 5th wheel. But then I noticed on the Evergreen website they have a 5th wheel line called Tesla. Looks pretty nice, I am going to go have a look at the 3212.Are there any quality RV manufacturers?I bought a Crossroads Toy Deck TH last year, and I am not at all happy with the quality of materials and workmanship. It is an inexpensive unit, so I figured I kinda got what I paid for and decided to sell it and get a nice 5th wheel garage toy hauler. We have looked at Fuzion, Road Warrior, Cyclone, Voltage, and now Torque, and I see the same shoddy workmanship in these $40,000 - $80,000 units. Shelves and cabinets coming apart and falling off. Doors not straight, screws at odd angles or stripped, drawers with bad or missing keepers, sawdust and scraps everywhere. I can't believe what some of these RV manufacturers deem ready for public consumption. I didn't like what I got with the Crossroads, but over the last year and a half I have worked through a lot of the issues. I am almost to the point that I keep the crappy trailer I know, rather than dump a substantial amount of money in another crappy brand new piece of junk. Does anybody know of one manufacturer who shines above the rest? Failing that, is there a dealer in the Salt Lake City, Utah area I can trust?Re: 2012 Dutchman Voltage ReviewI bought a Crossroads Toy Deck trailer at an RV show in Salt Lake City last year. It was my first RV, it was brand new, I was excited, I made all the classic mistakes. I was shocked at the poor quality product we got. There was still sawdust and construction scraps under every drawer, behind every cabinet. It had a host of major flaws, and was back with the dealer for the entire summer, just shy of 2 months. So we are in the market for a new toy hauler, we want a 5th wheel this time. We looked at a Voltage v3605 this weekend, and now I am worried it will be the Crossroads all over again. At least this time I am doing my research BEFORE I buy...Re: Crossroads RV ForumsI made the mistake of buying a brand new 2014 Crossroads 251TD this year. I bought it in February, took delivery in April, Used it once in June, and it spent 2 months getting fixed in July and August. I have never been more dissatisfied with a large purchase. This thing is one rolling piece of ****. The build quality and attention to detail is worse than the cheapest junk made in China. If you are contemplating buying a Crossroads RV, especially from (probably wont let me put the dealer name here) STAY AWAY!!!!
