I knew about all his troubles but didn't know that he passed. RIP NC Hauler...Re: Shocks IAMICHABOD wrote: Here is the ones that I mentioned in the Previous Post They Are the ones that you want. The same 4600 shocks but cheaper at amazon. Thank you. I did follow that link, but wasn't sure if the same shocks were for a 1500 van as it lists those numbers for 3500 and 2500.Re: Shocks Turtle n Peeps wrote: I put Bill's on my 2500 and really like them. They where pretty harsh at first but now they are great! BTW, shocks won't do anything for roll. You need a bigger anti roll bar if you want to fix that. That's what those are for. Yes, you are correct about the roll. I misspoke. Can't find bils listed for the front of that van. KYB does but not Bilstein.Re: Shocks Cummins12V98 wrote: Bilstein yellow and powder blue 4600’s Bilstein only lists rear shocks for that van. KYB lists front strut/shock and rear shock as well. Am I missing something?ShocksMy GF and I show dogs. She has a 2008 Chevy Express van and tows a 26' TT. The van is usually loaded with dogs, crates and associated grooming equipment. It handles the TT quite well but she still has the original shocks. The last time I drove it solo, I noticed more bounce and roll than I would have expected. I would like to put on a good set of shocks and looking for recommendations for a brand/model to give good solo and towing. My guess is Bilstein but there are so many models, I have no idea which ones. Can you all help me out?Re: Morryde pinboxSorry I'm late to this topic. I bought a 2012 Cougar 293SAB in 2011. It had some push/pull sensation. Not really chucking. I put a MorRyde on it. Such a huge difference! You will be glad you did this.Re: Hitch cover for Trailersaver BD5Go to a place that makes boat canvases. They can make one for it out of durable vinyl fabric.Re: Store Hot WaterPut in a point of use tank. They come in anything from 2 to 10 gallon and sold at HD & Lowes. Small enough to fit under a sink. Most can be used as a booster so can be plumbed into the hot water line out of the existing water heater. Don't know if you have a 50 amp 5er or not. If you do, it is easy to do. If only 30 amp service, you may want to run a separate 20 amp line to the pedestal.Re: Gas CylindersI would get #30 recertified. #20 cylinders are easier to exchange at HD, Lowes etc and the clerks often let you paw through the cabinet to find the latest date. That is (out of date) a valid reason to exchange per the exchange companies.Re: Winter storageIf you have a battery tender, I would use that. I do this with my Cougar 5er. Unplug the trailer and run an extension to feed the tender. I have also pulled them and put them in the basement in the past. I would avoid having the converter charge them all winter unless you know you have a good 3 stage unit. Your choice.
