Our mileage did drop a little bit after all of the emission fixes, but it’s still better than a V-8.Re: It might begin very soonTrains always have the right of way and don’t have to do things like changing lanes. blt2ski wrote: How many trains are running around seattle on remote control, no drivers. Granted usually going less than 25mph......but heavier, creating more potential damage...... Probably not a big deal, then again........ marty Re: Stale DEFIt kind of stinks, but our only two trips outside of town since March were a drive in the country to see the comet in the summer and to a state park about 100 miles away to look at the fall colors. That's not including a few trips down the freeway when our ecodiesel wants to run a regen to clear the DPF. Re: Stale DEFI'm in the same boat and bought 2 2.5 gallon jugs in February when it was on sale. I keep them in the basement where it's never above 68°F and finally used one of them last month which brought my DEF level up to about half full. We've only driven 1,684 miles since the shutdowns started in March. I'm planning to wait until spring at the earliest to use the other jug since we don't plan on taking many long trips in the winter.Re: RV Parks in or near Fargo, NDThe snowpile might be melted by now. It was on the news last week and I remember saying we should drive by there to get a photo of its final days since we have photos from the spring. It's where they haul snow from streets and sidewalks in parts of town where there is no room to push the snow on the boulevards. Re: Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.6L V6 2014You also need to pay a Jeep dealer to activate the trailer wiring harness. Even if the wiring is already there, it’s not turned on without the tow package.Re: DPF messageOur Jeep has a DEF gauge although they tend to get stuck at 25% until the warning for a few hundred miles to go. I usually wait until the 500 mile warning unless we have a road trip planned. Lantley wrote: My biggest gripe with the whole DEF set up is there is no DEF gauge. Why can't we have a gauge and know our DEF level vs. relying on a glorified idiot light? I have spoken with her a few times about that. She does have a pretty clean driving record so far but it just takes one "OH ****" moment to mess up your whole life. Either her life or someone else’s. At over 100 ft per second, it doesn’t take much distraction time to change your life! Re: FCA Emissions Scandal SettlementIf you still own the vehicle like me, the payout should be $3,075 plus there is an extension on the warranty for at least some items. Re: Tow/Camper connectedI think our Durango and Grand Cherokees only has the +12V pin active when the ignition was on or set to accessory.
