I'm interested in feedback of likes and dislikes. You don't have to list how much you're towing so we can keep the weight police out of this. You already have EFI Live, you should try it on an LML, before you give up and go Dodge. Just sayin' ;)Re: Unbelievable findIt will need an injection pump next week :DRe: What is the dumbest things about your fifth wheel? The sticker showing the weightsRe: Anyone fix a slide seal with FlexSeal tape? minnow wrote: tf the tape is like their stuff in the can then no it won't work. In my experience Flex seal wouldn't even stop a dripping rain gutter. Yep, that stuff is a joke. Luckily, I received it free, and had no notions of success. I love the commercials, though. We played with it at work on cracked 5 gal buckets, rain gutters (applied on inside, and outside of gutter), and a couple of other ridiculous cheap attempts at ghetto repairs.Re: Airbags installation for heavy 5th wheelGreat job! I have the same bags. It was my first set of AirLift, having been a die hard fan of RideRites on my last 5 trucks. So far, they have been great.Re: Manual regen on 2017 Ford F350Man, I would have killed for a manual switch! I don't need one at all, now :) but I think it should be standard on all new trucks.Re: How to shop for a 5th wheel hitch Goostoff wrote: When I ordered my B&W Patriot to replace my POS Curt hitch the guy at Rigid Hitch asked me if I had Curt rails or universal rails. He said that Curt had a different rail system than the rest of the companies. I told him I would take my chances and if it wouldnt fit I would call him back and order the rails. I got lucky and it fit. Good info! I want to swap out my Curt, but re-use the rails :CRe: Diesel vs gas......................I am a convert. I started posting in this thread a dozen years ago, when I had my tuned 8.1, and a giant camper in the back. In those days, my hotrod gasser could compete with any diesel. Diesels now are hard to pass up. Once you delete the EGR/DPF/SCR, they are truly a joy to own. We upgraded to diesel when we owned the 29ft TT. I had a tuned 6.0 gasser, w 6 speed. Great truck, and I often miss it. It towed that trailer all over Alaska and the PNW, w/ ease. It got shitty mileage while doing it, and spent most of its time north of 4000 rpm because of the terrain we drove in while pulling. It is amazing how "refreshed" you feel getting to your destination behind the diesel, because it rarely came out of overdrive. If you can swing the price increase, and justify the diesel, it definitely is worth it, these days. Getting old sucks.Re: Recommend new brakes.Another vote for stock. We have our old 2001 Tahoe that we bought new, and it is now our "spare" rig. It still has the original pads. I think they will go 250KRe: Toy hauler fifth wheel questionMy best bud hauls a Smart Car in his XLR regularly.
